kyleb57's 85 4Runner Build thread

I bought this thing this spring and have yet to be let down. This is my second one and couldnt be happier with it! Just bought new tires and a little lift. More pics to be posted!!!

Im still learning all the basic stuff and have alot that I would like to do. But my first question would be where can I find out what gears it has in it?

If stock, it should have 2.28 in the transfer case and 4.10s in the diffs

So yesterday i unbolted my front axle and went to go put my mild lift on and now im needing new shocks and my question is (I know they were installed for a reason) but do I need to get extended sway bar links???? And any other help would be nice. Just 2inch blocks is all its getting.

I took mine off but kept the torque bar on to keep axle twisting to a minimum.

Mine doesn't have much at all but I have the heavy duty old man emu springs.
I would take it off and drive it and see how it rides before you go and buy extensions etc.

Can handle more weight because I have an ARB bumper and winch up front that weigh about 250 lbs. Extra leaf I think.

So I've been seeing alot of custom tops, hard and soft...i would just like a mild lift and loose the tailgate...not such a big bulky one....
