EFI copper crush washers
I'm working on repairing my '85 EFI 22RE after a surprise head gasket failure last week. I got the head off and sent out word to Jim Putney at 22RE Performance to order another stage 2 head since once I (methodically) pulled all the head bolts the cam refuses to rotate easily (no surprise, blown head gasket usually means a warped head)
So while I wait my turn for the head, I'm gathering parts and changing a few things. first the copper crush washers for fuel banjos at the filter and the cold start injector and the fuel line pulse modulator , all I see online parts search is part numbers with no specifications as to what size they are, and people getting $3 minimum for one lousy 8mm copper washer!
So I miked out the old OEM washers that I have and went searching for generic metric sizes that will work, there's a lot of stuff being sold that WON'T work and other stuff that COULD work but was priced pretty high......................but I did find an assortment with sizes that will work, at Walmart online, plenty of extras in the assortment and even some that will work on my Husqvarna 701 Supermoto, the Dealer likes to charge $2.50 each for a KTM part that fits my oil drain plug. here's the link to the kit I'm getting.
