Well my fuel pumps bad. I couldn't get the hose off without damage though. I broke the hard line so I need new fuel pump holder assembly thing.

I am going to drop the fuel tank tmrw off of the 95 and hopefully its same one. If so ill still probably buy a new pump just so I know its new but maybe not. I hope that it works that way she is running. Ill be leaving for two weeks anyways but atleast I know shes running when I leave.

Well the fuel pump holder assembly are different between my 1st gen and 2nd gen tanks. I am not sure on pump and I cant tell if there the same because all screws are seized on parts runner.

I don't want to cut them out since theres fuel in there and its snowing and freezing out. I am going to check at parts store see if theyre same.

Where I broke my hard line off on my fuel pump holder thing can I cut it smooth and solder it back together??? Of course after I clean it thoroughly. Then I can just change out pump and not have to find a new one.

Well its a no go on it being just the pump. Probably was not the pump.

I leaving for few weeks so I wil have to deal with this later. I should have tried to diagnose it more before I did pump.

I have read about the COR some and jumping it to see if it works. Ill try those when I come home.

Either way ill have a new pump.

A friend of mine is going to try and fix his broken fuel pump line. I will let you know how that goes when he gets it done. Dont know how I missed this build. I will do some catching up as soon as I get my laptop up and running. Looking forward to your build.

Well besides the COR bypass which will tell me if that relay is working. If I am understanding it correctly.

I was also just looking around engine bay making sure I was no missing anything, I found this laying in there.

so after coming inside and searching I found out its a auxiliary air switch or something like that. I found out where it is which is below intake plenum. I have not run back out to verify I it was off or maybe just an extra bt im sure its something I need to address either way. Is it possible for this to have an effect on her starting?

I have a lot of reading to do n all this stuff. Kind of overwhelming but I realize it is not that hard just spread out a ot of different places on her.

Either way I am gone for next two weeks so im take notes and do lots of reading in that time. Hopefully when iget back I can get it diagnosed fairly quick.

If u have room it would be a good idea to flare the hard line on ur fuel pump bracket so it will act like a barb to help hold the line in place. Also u can use 2 hose clamps but turn them opposite directions. This will help them hold better. Good luck getting this thing going. I had to completely replace the bracket on mine and it was very pricey, couple hundred bucks if I remember correctly from the dealer but mine was beyond repair.

Am I doing this correctly??

By jumping this I am bypassing the cor?? So if she fires up with it bypassed it implies that my pump is good and my wiring to the pump is good, correct???

The I can check the cor and the afm???

If it does not fire up it means my pump or my wiring to pump is bad???

Ive also read something about reading ohms or volts somewhere.

My battery was fairly dead so I have it charging off my wifes car right now. But I tried turning her over and nothing I cant hear the pump going. Its brand new pump.
So if I have it bypassed and its still not cranking I should pull out pump, put power directly to it make sure its running and then check over wiring to it make sure its good.

I think im understanding what I am needing to do. I think. Can I take my meter and just run down the line until power stops and that will show me the issue with wire if there is one or should I just look for cuts and stuff???

Either way I head to airport to leave for work for 2 weeks so I wont be figuring it out anytime soon. I just want to have a grasp on what I need to do so when I get home I can do it right way.

I am going to test pump tmrw and if that's fine I am going to to start tracing wire for it to see where its bad.

I am not convinced that my fuel line remedy is smart or safe. I want to replace the sending unit so that I know it will hold. I don't want it popping off somewhere and loosing my fuel or burning it down.

There are 2 return lines? What are they from. One is basic return, whats secondary one for??

it sounds like your cold start injector, check your fuel rail pressure to verify if your pump is good or not, if its cold try a shot of starting fluid while turning her over, if she starts its your cold start injector

Well I tested my old pump, it works, well I tested the new pump, it works. tried firing her up with starting fluid it didn't work. I tried firing her with and without jumper. Nothing, this leads me to believe that it is the wiring.

How should I go about testing the wiring??? Start at the pump and work my way back?? Or vice versa??

You were jumping it corretly. Will fire with starting fluid? If so, it is on the fuel side. Here are the steps https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f199...l#post51897320 I went thru to get my injectors working and what I checked. If you want to use my $3 noid light, you will need to make sure the wires are in the correct polarity. If it doesnt work one way swap the wires around, just make sure they are/are not firing.

no it will not fire even with starter fluid. so I am at the point of it having to be wiring since bypassing cor doesn't work and the pump works.

So I just need to test the wiring to see where it is bad in there.

So I had it working the other day. I don't know how I was testing the ground on it and power and I tried turning it and bam worked. I could not get it to pump again though.

So I redid ground and then started tracing for power. I traced all way back to ecm and nothing. So then I took out the cor and tested that and it was fine. So I tested the plug that plugs into it. nothing!

So is there a fuse under the hood that would supply power to it???

Looking at the top of the fuse box in hood theres a sticker on there and where it says fuel theres nothing. Is there supposed to be???

There is a random wire run from positive on battery through the firewall. Im wondering if someone replaced relay with that. It has a 25 fuse.

Anybody know if there is supposed be another relay though???

You can see peeling sticker where says fuel or what I think is fuel. under there is no relay. You can also see the red wire running from battery with fuse.
