Thanks, I like them. I believe they are AVS brand. I am thinking about getting a matching bug shield soon too.
I thought about finding some straight window visors for the sliding windows by the bench seats just to help keep rain or anything from coming in as bad if I have them open for my dogs.

Here are a few pics of after I painted a lot black to look better and get rid of the rust look. I know I need to paint the rear shocks still and I will eventually paint the exhaust black as well.
I thought about painting the diff covers red and a few other things but I think I like black better. Maybe I'll paint the diff guards I am gonna put on and a drive shaft loop and track bars and and a couple small things here and there but wont be much if any. When the weather warms up I will take top off, sand and paint that, tint the windows on top and doors, and paint the roll bar inside with new coat of black and start working on the interior more than I have.
Enjoy!

I tried painting the side bars with some rubbarized coating spray. It takes a long time to dry and doesn't withstand scratching and dings like I though it would be even with not too many coats and thickness. I'm going to sand it off and just use regular black paint like I did on the other stuff to match. I thought about painting lower portion of the body black but I don't think I will.

I had almost a 1/4 turn of play in the rear drive line. I tore the rear end all apart, axles out and took apart the gears to check pinion and what not, everything is set right. I have the pre-load at 8. For factory axles says 6-10. Couldn't figure out where the play was, checked it all. I'm thinking the only thing it could be is the detroit locker. Not sure if it can be re-built like a bad spring or something or if junk all together. I'm thinking about installing a spool and calling it good. They are a lot cheaper than new locker and not that much different or worse in turns than some lockers that unlock. Less moving parts and shouldn't have an issue.
Anyone have this issue? I've not seen issues with detroit lockers before, but first for everything.

I got some tabs welded on the front frame to mount my two 4" weather proof HID off-road lights. just need to bolt in and run wiring and switch and be done. It's pretty easy to do. I can't wait to install the kit to run the bigger gm alternator so I can run the lights without too much draw and install H4 style round headlights with HID kit and two 2-3" lights mounted in holes in bumper for driving lights. People are gonna hate me haha. Oh well I don't care, at least I'll be able to see where I'm going.

Black duck taped cardboard zip tied behind grill to keep truck warmer. It cools really well still so no problem. Almost need more coverage. It will stay really cool in summer with them removed.
Screwed the grill in so no more zip ties.
New tabs welded on for lights.

Yeah I am a little bit. Thanks. Only thing I could figure is my locker is bad. I heard usually you don't see a locker breaking unless an axle breaks with it but never know. Gotta get numbers off locker and see if there is a rebuild kit, or parts to replace in it maybe a bad spring or something. It's not as bad now that I adjusted the rear end but still is loose when all hooked back up under tension.

Nice, takes but but worth it huh. Only crappy part is you still get rust color leaking out from between the leafs around the outside but can be washed off.

Some pictures were showing up missing on here because I was cleaning up my photobucket. Some might be reposts but some are new. Enjoy.
Had a friend weld in some light tabs for me and painted them.

Got the lights on.

Installed a switch.

Here they are turned on. They light up so much for 4" xenon hid 6k-8k. I'm gonna use them as my headlights until I get hid lights installed to replace the yellow headlights. People will love me lol.

Ported my tb a little bit and cleaned it up some. I've noticed a little bit of difference, little more peppy. Not bad for a half hour of work to gain a hp or two.

Window visors.

Tape covered cardboard to warm the truck up quicker. I removed them now for summer. I love how much these stay cool.

Rear End. Need to find a rebuild kit for the detroit locker, has too much play in it. I forgot to get the numbers off of it, hope there is only one option. If not, I'll be buying a whole new locker.

Some updated painted pics.

A couple of my next projects to tackle on this is a oil filter relocation kit to make the filter hang from a mount for easier access and little more oil to keep cooler and what not.
Adjust the noisy valves.
Figure out what whines when it gets warmed up sounds like a dove call and when shut it off it whines down like a whiny dog kinda. I wanna say it's one of my pumps going bad, not sure which one, or my space ship looking think back by the pcv valve on top back of motor. Some diaphram or something.
I wanna check engine codes but the previous owners moved stuff around so not sure where all the stuff is to check them, gotta figure this one out.
I have an electrical problem that from 1500-2200 rpm if i let off the gas the tach needle jumps around up and down and the truck will buck but once get on the gas again it stops and only does it around that rpm. It will pop out the exhaust a little but not loud or much and only once at a time.
