The new Weber carb looks great. Did you have any problems putting it on. I heard sometimes they leak. What adapter plate did you go with?

 

I didn't run into any problems installing the carb. The only reason the have leaks is because of the adapter they come with from Redline. I have the 2 peace adapter. I hate it I change the gasket every 4 months. i am going to get LCE adapter this summer.

Last April we have a few events called mud of the farm. Some of you local guys know what i am speaking of. Well needs less to say the motor didn't last threw that weekend. The motor started to knock. Well only way to get the home to was to drive it. Well I almost made it.

Here how she sat for a few months


The truck sat for a few months. I got another 20R for free. Drove the truck for a few days with the new used motor in and my lucky would have it that one started knocking.

 

I am building a engine as we speak. So far I have

ENB 20R over sized valves
Oregon Re grind RV3 cam 290 lift
79 20R head shaved .030
LCE Oil pressure bypass valve
Oil cooler
Timing chain set

Still need to get
LCE ADJ cam gear
LCE dual valve springs
LCE crank scraper
ARP head studs
OE Toyota oil filter
OE Toyota thermostat
Gasket set
22R rocker arms

Right now I can't really do much to the motor. I broke my back last month at work fell 15 feet off a roof. So i can do anything right now. Just buy parts.

I will post pics of the parts i have so far later.

I got bord the other day i decided to go ahead and change the springs inside my dizzy.


Still trying to decided if i will keep the vac advance.

 

Broke a few vertebra myself some years ago. After a few months you find ways to do things that seem too hard at first.

 

Haven't done much lately. I got around to porting the oil ports on the timing cover.

 

Got around to painting my block.

 

The paint on the block looks awesome! Sub'd!

 

Picked this up they other day for FREE


Went to the junk yard to find a few parts for my civic and found this. A dough thorely tri y header for $20.00

A little WD40 and a 2 hours of my weekend.

 

$20 + a bit of elbow grease is a great price for that header! Nice score!

Upgraded light sockets for the coner marker lights. These cam from a pre 88 crx.

Small update fixed my fuel line. I went ahead and ran new metal line.

They are off a mid 2000's chevy/GMC

 

No real big update. My turbo I will be using. Came of a 7m supra.
