Hello I've been busy with this build for about 6 months now . After all the advice and Ideahs I got off of this forum I thought I'd better contribute something.I plan to use it as a shop truck in my small construction busness, so it's not designed to do any crawling.And sorry I do plan to put a deck on it. Also I ended up lengthening the wheel base a bit by instaling chevy 63's on the back without moving the front spring mounts . So far it seems to me that this is a fairly simple way to turn a short wb into a long. Thanks to Dave @ Ka wazx for alot of inspiration

Thanks .I hope it wil speed up a bit now ,my nephew is doing the body work . just have to find some interior parts. Also have to find a rear E brake cable off of a long box. Any body know up to what year will fit?

 

interesting idea. Will that center the axle on the wheel well?
Probably not really a concern if you are doing a flat bed.

I would love to do a frame off.
