my 1979 2wd short bed.

hey guys, new guy here, okay well finally got an account after coming here many time for information.
i wanted to post a wanted ad for a few parts i've been looking for but i guess site rules wont let me post in the classified section till i have 15 posts. oh well

i really don't like posting build threads until there done. I've right in the middle of a frame off 90% resto on my truck. i got this truck running and driving from a friend who got it from and older gentleman. the truck was used around the farm and for local fishing. i got this truck with a verified 100,000 miles and all the problems of a 38 year old farm truck. i took the thing to work, washed off the crud and natures leak sealing mud and grit. after assessing the problems (rust holes in the floor boards, worn engine bearings from years of sitting, low revs with high loads, leaks and age) everything came out and got torn down with the plan to build a fun vintage yoda street truck/parts runner aka fun to drive and still usable. this will not be a slammed mini truck.

I've stripped and painted the frame (internal framing coating and rust sealing frame paint from east wood, more or less por15), rebuild the suspension front and rear. gone though the trans and rear axle, inspecting them for issues and resealing them. currently I'm waiting on my local machine shop to finish up with my engine block and head so i build the engine. building a 20/22r hybrid with good cam (engblrds 270), oversized SS 22r valves and Dellorto sidedrafts.

while I'm waiting. Its time to get started on some body work and get some electrical improvements done. which brings me to my point for posting. does any one have a line on some front end parts. i really would like to get a set of 2wd front fenders that are strait (i can prep and remove light rust, they just cant have dents and rust seized bolts). i also need a front valance and bumper. any help would be great.

really need to get get some more work done on the body. few picture of the floor pans i built. keep in mind im not a body man and this is the first time i've done something like that.

I seen you like to post them after the build. One thing I like about a build thread is that you go back and look at it when you completed it and what all was done. It is a great trip down memory lane of what you started with and what it looks like when done. Welcome to Yotatech.

im right in the middle of this build. the pictures of pulling the body off were back in January 2017. me a friend were going to fix this truck up good enough for me use in place of the F-150,that's in a few of these photos while i frame off rebuilt it. the engine needed to be pulled to be resealed and the trans needed resealed as well. we new the floors needed patched and planned on doing it while the cab was on the frame. anyhow by the time i had the engine and trans out the all the was left to pull the cab was the mounting bolts 2 brake lines and parking brake cable, so i just pulled it off. i work on heavy equipment for a leaving and can use the shop on the weekends for personal stuff so i just drag what i need to work on in with the ford and trailer if it easier to do there.
i still have to patch the bed and finish patching the smaller rust on the cab, strip and blast the body, paint it and get everything back together.

i can post more photos but i just kinda of post a summery of what happened. but then again after taking large equipment down to the frame and back up a few times some excitement wears off. i guess i didn't take photos of the 988 that went all the way down to the frame (engine, trans, cab, front and rear axles all off and the frame split). here is a few photos of and engine and tourqe converter pull on a d9r (3408 powered) and engine/pumps and TC pull on a 988g (3456 powered). 9d was dead lost the engine. engine and pump pull on a 345b, while re bushing the boom and replacing all the pilot hydraulic lines has the stupid cab off and apart at some point along with the cooling pack. so much work.
