Very Nice. Good find. Why can't I stumble onto something like that...

Nice. I like it. I like the your cluster with the rpm, lol.

Side note, If I found a cluster with the rpm for sale, is it just plug and plug or would I have to rewire it? I'm jealous of your cluster.

^it depends on what year you have. if you have a 79-81, it is plug and play if you get a cluster from the same year as your truck. if you have a 82-83, then it is more complicated and there are write ups on this site that will walk you through it. there is some wiring for the 82-83 clusters (like the one in this thread)

Yeah that kinda sucks cuz I just got an 82 4x4 without the tach and I was hoping that it would be a simple plug in to convert it to the one like my 83 SR5.

Nice addition to the stable! I hope I can find one like that some day also! Love the SR5 stripe being put back on.

No buddy, it's not that easy, but the wire colors are then same...All you have to do is splice in the correct wires to the sr5 gauge harnesses.. Without the harnesses from the sr5 gauge cluster it'll be very tough.

Ok thanks for the tip! I'll need to find an SR5 cluster with the harnesses. Maybe you'll see it in my soon to be 82 build up thread.

Rust free, your lucky! Good to see some people running these rigs stock, instead of turning them all into crawlers. Very capable rigs in stock form with some 31" tires.

I think he got them from james dean creations (all one word) . com. Same place I got mine. Quality, accurate reproductions.

Correct shlobeck... JamesDean. Catfish...The seats are all original and near mint. The original owner kept them covered since new. I also put some covers to keep them mint.

I got my stripes in the mail from james dean yesterday! my truck should be headed to the paint shop this time tomorrow. it has the same factory paint code as yours, and ill be doing the silver stripes...not trying to jock your style or anything..just taking it back to its original 1983 condition. it will be my dd. mine is originally a non-ac truck so any advice on getting ac components? is a junk yard my only option? and have you looked into any reproduction oem style radio head units? ive heard they look just like factory, but have a headphone port and possibly Bluetooth depending on the model.
