Hello so I just recently got a 82 Toyota from a family member but it had been sitting for some time and the mice have gotten to it I just ripped out the seats center console tried taking the door panels and carpet but ran into a few issues. The carpet near the firewall is very tight up against what I’m guessing has to do something with the ac and I’m unable to get the carpet to release over the gas peddle and the other little tabs for the center console. For the door panels I’m not sure I’ll be able to remove them without destroying them. They seem very brittle I tried tugging on an area that had a screw to see if it would release a little and ended up almost crumbling I’m not sure if the previous person that worked on the door had glued it to the door itself but I also found some adhesive. I’m just trying to make it functional and usable cuz with all the mouse droppings it’s unusable. A little side note regarding the carpet I know I can cut it out but I’m trying to keep it while if possible so I have a templete for new carpet if I decide to put new carpet in.

If I remember correctly, there are 2 bolts and a bracket on the firewall above the pedal and two bolts under the carpet at the bottom of the pedal. If I'm wrong check the tech section and or use the search bar. If that's your only question you'll probably have your thread moved there anyway. You would be better off getting rid of that carpet and getting a new one that's pre cut and pre formed to the floor, you can find them on Ebay for around 200. Hope that helps and more pics of your truck so we can see what you're working with.

 

I will be taking some photos of the rest of the truck soon but I ended up cutting and disinfecting the inside of the truck and seems to be better got some random seat covers for the time being and kinda cleaned out the floor but found a good amount of rust toward the front of the firewall by the Pedals I’m currently trying to figure out this smoking issue I’m having with it now to try and got it running correctly.
