Well sorry about not getting pics but here is the report, I got the tires on and some of the legal stuff done I was at a friends house and went to leave and realized that I did not have tail lights or brake lights. Also no reverse light. What I do have is turn signals and so I started to test and look for problems. Have power at the fuse box so I looked at the brake switch(I think that's what it's called) unplugged it and had power going to it. So I checked bulbs and pulled the light buckets out and could not find any bad wires but I checked for power and did not have any except for the turn signals. I followed all the wires from tail lights to where it goes through the fiberglass bed and in to the cab. I am lost at what to do. This is the only thing that is keeping me from driving this thing. Any suggestions or idea to you Toyota gurus would be very helpful.

A trailer wiring harness can cause strange problems. Or, a bad ground at the lights since you seem to have power coming out of the fuse for those lights. Or, a bad wire from fuse back to the lights. Or, a switch issue. Tossing things out....

Thanks for the ideas. I just checked the back of the fuse panel and it all good. I am thinking ground a at the lights somewhere. Well hopefully next weekend I can get time to look more but for now off to work for the week.

Well after all day of chasing wires I finally got it sorted out. But one step forward and two back. So I went to take it up the road and now I have a not so good noise. Not sure if it's tranny or engine. When I press the clutch in and rev it the noise is not there but under load I hear it. It was a bit too late to trouble shoot. Another thing I noticed was a pretty big oil spot under it today. I was starting and shutting it off all day though so idk what the problem is yet. So gotta get that fixed before I can drive it. Another set back but getting close to being a daily driver. Well anyway that's the update so far. When I get some time I will upload some recent pics.

Well got the noise figured out. Kind of stupid but not a big deal. So now just gotta finish up a few odds and ins pics will be on there way this week sometime. As it sits now lift is on it new 33s new floor pans and a newer w56 tranny. Also put some indoor outdoor carpet in it and cleaned up the interior a bit. Next is a front axel rebuild and gears and a rear locker.

Hope this pic shows up. Went down by the river this weekend in the trekker. I am very happy with it so far. I need to regear it when I save up the cash.
