New trail edition 4runner
Hi All,
Just a quick note to introduce myself. I'm a truck guy from way back, made a bad mistake with the last vehicle and ended up with the 2010 Toyota Trail edition. I hear a lot on another forum I frequent about the Toyota duribility.
First impressions are that's solid and has many nice, well thought out ammenties. It was a fluke I even ended up with this....I had been in contact with Corey about getting a FJ, and my brother in law suggested this...and I'm sure glad he did!! (Thanks too Corey)
I have a list of mods to start with..all small stuff, but will make this a trail machine at some point...right now it's the daily driver.
Here's a few pics

Welcome! Bet you could subsidize your monthly payment by letting us take test drives for $20 a pop!!
You bringing that thing to the Toy Run?!?
(I am assuming you live close if Corey talked you into a vehicle)
If not, ROAD TRIP!!!!!

I'm actually on the East Coast..but really envy you guys with all the natural forests around you in Washington...we have to drive about an hour or so to get into the "big woods".
I only know Corey thru his great write ups on his FJ and camping gear, which is very informitive and well thought out. Mt interest peaked a few weeks ago on an FJ being sold locally..But he and another fellow thought I could a better deal on something better equipped, so it all worked out for the better...waaaait a minute..
DAMN COREY COST ME ANOTHER 12 GRAND!!! lol..jk
I'll try to post any mods that may of interest to others...I look forward to being able to go "out and about" again(not just grassy surfaces), and in style ..
Thanks all, Pat
Also wenrt and got the hitch goodies to connect to the trailer just see what was up with that..very happy

I am really liking the new Runner. I just bought an 09 Nissan Frontier in May as I didnt want to pay the super premium for the Tacoma as I really didnt care for the styling all that much.
That being said, I think my next rig will be a 5th gen 4runner. I will give it a few years to work all the bugs out, maybe pick up a 2012 or so. No sense trading in the Frontier and losing my a** since its under bumper to bumper warranty for another 2.5 years.

i hear the 5th gen trail edition has selectable front and rear lockers and crawl control. is this true? if so... screw modding the '95. i'll take the punch to the wallet and get me a 2010 TE and put 33's and an exhaust kit on it and call it good... those TE's are an expensive 4runner.... but i'm tempted.
