I just installed an ARB on my 83. The earliest they offer is for an 84, but the mods required are not complicated. You have to shorten the wings of the bumper by about 2”, and you need a piece of 2”x4” steel box beam to go between the bumper and front frame crossmember.

She's my dolled up wood hauler. Needed a COVID project while I was trapped at home, so I did a full frame-off resto-preservation. The paint is a driveway job, not perfect but looks good enough from a distance. the dump bed is a conversion by Pierce intended for a Ford pickup that I grafted to the Toyota chassis/bed. works great.

For the bumper, the only mod you really need to do is cut off about 2" from each wing. I welded them onto the opposite sides because they formed close to the factory end treatment (instead of an open cut channel). You also need a piece of 2"x4" box beam about 24" long to go between the front frame crossmember and the bumper. I just welded it to the frame and then bolted the bumper to it.
