Parting out 88 4Runner SR5

I'm the proud owner of a nice 89 4Runner and have been restoring it over the past couple years. About a year ago I purchased a partially picked 88 model with no engine, doors or front seats. Everything else was there and in pretty good shape from what I could tell. I used several parts in the restoration of my 89 but have countless parts stowed away that could probably help some of you guys out.

I'm not after a bunch of money, I'm more interested in helping folks out if you are in a bind so here's what I'm going to ask from you. Look over the list of parts that I've put away and let me know what you are needing. I work close to 60 hours a week and commute an hour to work so it's going to be a hassle to get away and ship this stuff out. Please just keep that in mind. I'll be glad to send you a half burned fuse for nothing if it will get your old Yota running again but please don't ask me to cut off a harness connector and ship it to you for 50 cents just so you can have a spare.

That being said, here's a few of the bigger items you might be interested in. I have an automatic transmission / transfer case and a front differential with good CV axles. Since the truck wasn't running when I bought it, I can not be 100% sure that these components are in great condition but neither of them leak and were not locked up or squeaking when I rolled it on to my trailer. I was told that both are in working order but that's just what I was told. I feel like they are both good. I will refund anyone's money that buys them and if you are an upstanding member or can get a couple to vouch for you, I will allow you to take them and verify that they are good before we exchange any money. The last thing I want to do is send you something that won't solve your problem. I have the shifters and all associated components that go with the transmission. I would take $200 for the transmission and $125 for the differential without CV axles and $150 with them. I also have the top. It is missing one window but its probably in better shape than mine otherwise. I'm just not keeping it due to the cost of having it painted. You will need to arrange the shipping on these parts. My zip code is 71730.
The rest of the better parts will be in a pictures that I post of a spreadsheet I made as I disassembled the truck. I have a lot of other parts, even hardware, that is not listed but if I didn't list in in my inventory list, that means that it wasn't in better shape than what was already on mine. I'm not going to price each of these smaller items individually but I promise that my price will likely be half of the junk yard and will make you an even better deal if you buy several items at once. Also, If you are somewhere close to South Arkansas, you are welcome to come over and look through all of it.

Anyway, here are a few pictures. Let me know if you have any questions or you are needing anything you don't see.

Thanks

Interior is grey. I'll go look for you. Do you mean the interior trim piece and which side? I know the outside B Pillar plastic went away with the rest of the body.

The piece that covers the area right behind the doors where the front seatbelts hang.

I could use both sides,, Grey is great!

Look something like this:

You mean like these.

These look good to me. Anything I need to look out for like little tabs that might be broken off? I don't see any but I wouldn't know what they might be missing without trying to install them. I really didn't think I'd be selling any trim. Looks like mine are in just as good of shape. Glad I saved them. If you like them. Make me an offer. They shouldn't be too hard to ship.

what is the condition of the passenger side dash pad? Do you also have a rear window lock switch? It is located in the center console

I used the dash pad to replace mine. It was garbage. I think I have one of the window lock switches. I wired around mine so I know there is one in my 89 that I would part with. When I get home I'll get them out and test them for you. I will get back to you tonight.

I found the window lock switch and bench tested it because it didn't feel right to me. It does not work. Wiring around that switch is really simple. Just connect the two blue wires together and it should keep it unlocked or install a generic rocker switch between them in place of the OEM switch. Sorry

Do you have a decent dash harness? Just need for mock-up, the cheaper the better.

Thanks!

My inventory shows that I have "a lot of heater/ ac harness". If that's part of the harness you are looking for then I might. I'll see what I've got. I tried not to cut any harnesses if could help it. I'll post some pics tonight. Will probably include all of the harnesses I have since my descriptions aren't real clear, even to me. I do know where it all is though. Color coded boxes to match the spreadsheet.

I do not have the sunroof anymore.

I do have some rear seats. They are gray and dirty but not torn. No front seats.

I do have the door control module. I have it marked as power lock controller but I think that's what you are asking about.

Pics of the mud flaps and both door control ecm's are posted to my parts for sale album under my profile.
