Pics O my Car

I hydrolocked my Toyota earlier this summer while wheeling in the Pines with a few Xterra owners and needed something to drive untill I could afford a new motor. Well it was cheaper to convert the trans. in my Camaro to 5sp. that I already had sitting in my garage then to buy a motor for the Toy. So now this is my DD untill then. Enjoy.

AND MY PERSONAL FAVORITE...

The officer didn't bother me. He was cool.

I had the 86 Camaro for about 10 years now and has took a back seat to my other creations (89 s-10 lowrider, 02 Banshee, 89 Toy Pickup, 09 Xterra). But since then I had converted the interior to black, swapped out the 305 for a 350, put 3.73's in the rear, ran mid 12's on spray with street tires, put on AFR heads, 30lb. injectors, had a custom chip made, and now it's a 5sp. I figured I should take some pics of her while she's out and running.

But still, i'm missing the mud and my Toy big time.

One thing I gotta hate on is the 91-92 Hi-rise spoiler with the 85-90 Ground effects. Its just too tacky. I would personally go with a Hawk's 5 inch spoiler to offset the look of the cowl hood.

It's only tacky if you know exactly what your trying to compare it to. If you look at it as a whole then it goes well. Some people just flat out hate the 91-92 spoiler. I've thought about using that other spoiler as well. Financially, paint and body is pretty far away so I have time to explore my options.

Thanks for the comments.

That's true. I automatically look at the hi rise and look for the 91-92 Rear ground effects. haha

Thanks everyone for the comments. I appreciate it. She's not a show winner but maybe someday.

As for motor it is fuel injected but she doesn't have that high torque/low hp factory tuned port intake. TPIS has a Miniram intake which basically is a LT1 (93-97 Camaro/Firebird) intake made to fit my motor. I dropped a full second off my et just by bolting on this intake and twin 52mm throttle body.

Match that up with a Crane cam, 1.6 rockers, AFR heads, 30lb injectors, and a custom chip to make everything work together, and you have an exciting combination.

She's a great car now and slowly getting better. There seem to be fewer and fewer of them on the road each year so now I have to keep her and finish what I started.

Of course t-tops! What more to top off a "poor mans Corvette" then a "poor mans convertible"
