So my uncle recently had an accident at work and back surgery that followed that. Long story short he has nerve damage in his left leg and can't use the clutch on his manual tranny very well. Even though he drives a 1994 Ford Ranger (I know, I know) I though I would ask the smartest people I know to see if anyone had any good information about putting an auto tranny in there. I've found a bunch of stuff about switching from an auto to a manual, just not vice versa.

x2 on it being a better idea to sell and buy an automatic. Sorry man just a whole lotta stuff to do including wiring, mounting, changing the fly wheel, cross members, drive shafts just too much work.

 

Try and find an automatic ranger that's got a blown engine (shouldn't be too hard), and just start swappin parts.

 

Well I guess I could try and get him into an automatic toyota
