yeah but it was full when it left the driveway and by the time I went 1 block it said half tank.

Don't mind the low beam warning, that's due to the headlight sensors not agreeing with the HID's.

My BMW 328is E36 does the same thing because of the HIDs. The dims are halogens and the brights are HIDs, when the fog lights are on it confuses the car and doesn't dim the brights with the toggle of the stick. It also tells me I have no coolant every time I turn the car on because of the aftermarket radiator. Funny how all these "advanced features" just bug you once you modify the car.

Congrats on the miles, mine's still just a baby. 128k

had to replace washer fluid hose today and good thing I did, I don't know how long this has been like this but......

To give you an idea, this is what it's supposed to look like (front strut mount)

This is what the passenger side looks like:

Now these were done Feb 2010. Not sure on the mileage though. Bought off ebay and we are looking up the manufacture for them now, but I wanna say either URO or Meyle.

This would be the second major hit this suspension took. The other one smashed the heck outta the lower control arm and front crossmember. No I was not driving either time.

That's also the same side that took the hit on the lower control arm that toasted the crossmemeber as well.
Girlfriend swears she didn't hit that ditch again. lol.
The only thing that would cause that is for the strut to hit the bump stop. Hopefully these Billy HD's can take a pounding.

HOLY CRAPOLI, BRANDON! Dangit, ....... now from what I gather, I somehow inadvertently and unwittingly caused this through Pacific Coast Jinx Manipulation of Physics? lol. Wow, seriously, sorry man...that has to be a bad thing, but YOU WILL no doubt get it solved without too much drama, eh? I know, struts SUCK! lol. But still.... what's the actual plan? Warranty? Sorry if I read past that... just didn't see that much. Something about "wife swears" and "DANG CHEF AND HIS JINX'S!" LOL.

Best wishes, man... BTW, looking at the ad here ^^^ ....Nick Alexander, L.A. Imports, BMW 328i in the pic!

PS> Saw B7 Alpina 5-Series one..... 1979 or 80 or something like that? (you'd know)... stripes and all, CHERRY! (I remember reading the Auto Mag I had at the time, around 12yrs old, max? .>>> ."Fastest Sedan In the World, 177MPH" or something like that, lol. )

new mounts will be here by end of next week. 2 year warranty, (I think) but ordered online, so yeah good luck with that. $47 a piece this time for Lemforder. Shoulda went with those first. We replaced these when we put the BHD struts in so this wouldn't happen to the OEM ones that had 235xxx miles on them.

GOOD LORD that's frustrating, (heading things off at the pass, only to have them leap frog ya while yer backs turned and turn to CRAP!) lol. Anyway, ....good deal, so you've got it 'pre-sussed!'

PS> Did you know the car I'm talking about? I saw you mention the 6 or 7series one the other day, "alpina" version I mean.... member the 5 Series 4 door one?

There's a guy around here, Brandon, ....his is INSANE-TRICKED! lol. Not TOO messed with, but the paint, ...he added his own custom race pattern stuff's, etc., ....HOLY CRAPOLI that thing sounds SO SICK! He frequents a place I pick up stuff from.... I'll try to get a pic. He told me, "NOOOOOO, this is not the more easy to find one, it's almost not street legal, mine is the SUPER rare one!" lol. He owns a bunch of Arco's, lol.

Hope your shocks survive. It's amazing that it blew through the mount like that especially if they were new mounts. Any chance the shocks are under warranty?

Yup, Bilstein HD's, but the upper mounts are separate from the struts. I believe the struts themselves will be fine. I am sure they can survive a hit on the bump stops.

Shock mounts and subframe mounts are vulnerable spots on bimmers. Definitely things to keep an eye on.

yup sub frame has been replaced once already. Along with the upper and lower control arms, but yeah the e34's rip through front end parts like anything. But they handle so well.

Na That's a good deal as long as there is nothing wrong with that 4.0L v8 gas guzzler. lol. If it were a 92 540 I would be a little worried as those early 4.0L's got recalled due to incompatibility with US gas sulfer content. AKA Nikosil.

That 750 is nice but they are huge. Not so sure on the price though, but it's clean so maybe. That idiot of a guy who screwed me on my state inspection had a 91 750 too.

Thanks B, ....yeah, it's for his daughter, and he feels the bigger the better on safety, engine included. He has a corporate gas account for her so he's not worried about gas, but he would like to avoid getting her something too expensive to 'learn' in, ya know? lol. He said, "She's really good at 3 point turns and parking, ..so I'm not worried about that, it's just the other idiots on the road that worry me. She doesn't drink, etc., ...so it's really just to get her going in class without having to start off in the high 20's or something!" His mechanic told him the 12 is a SOLID motor, very reliable if it's been maintained and will not likely leave her stranded if the main culprits have been handled before hand... you'd know more about that stuff than me, lol.

I personally would not get either one of these or any BMW at all for a first car. Seen too many of these things into trees. Every single one of these bmw's in the junk yards around here have been wrapped or slammed into telephone poles or trees. RWD, lots of power and wet/icy/snowy pavement. You get the idea.
