85 celica gt hb 22r-ec Need Help!!!!

hey gy I have an 85 celica gt 5-speed and I just done a fresh rebuild to motor and I went to do the first start took it a while to want to crank had to mess with distributer some to get it to fire and when it did it wants to sputter buck idle funny how to describe it is unknown for me don't know much about it I think it has something to do with incorrect vacuum hook up or maybe ignition any help would be wonderful really dnt have money or time to redo timing so hoping its not that

Timing correct? If it ran fine besides being wore out before the build I would sit back and retrace your steps it might just be a vacuum line hooked up wrong or the timing is way off, start with simple first before you start throwing parts at it that will kill the pocket book

well I went by the Toyota motorcorp book for the rebuild and unless it slipped between the time my dad lowered head on n put timing gear on for me its not timing I think it may be vacuum line but I cant find a good diagram for a 85 Celica GT 5speed im thing it may also be either the sparkplug/wires or rotor and cap or ignition coil n igniter
