Check to see what axles you have.
A 61 should have an offset rear dana 44. I believe theyre 19 spline that year, later years switched to centered up with a dana 20 Transfercase.
Your front will most likely be a stock Dana 27 closed knuckle.

Stock F head four cylinder?
Stock 3 speed? Twin stick transfer case?!?

I have a 51 CJ3A (Actually it's a CJV35-U, special order USMC Cj3a)
Check to make sure you don't actually have an old m38a1, which is a cj5 but titled as a street rig.

check out earlycj5.com, theres a wealth of information that you'd be well reserved to go look through

easiest way to tell if it's an m38a1 is if it has no tailgate, and the spare tire carrier is on the rear, not the side

also
look for the recess in the passenger side between the front fender and the door opening, recessed headlights into grille, evidence of military nomenclature tags on the dash, along with the weather proof multi function headlight switch, also look on the cowl, the twin 12v batteries connected in series for the 24 volt electrical system.
