There is really not a stone left unturned on this bike. It is a 2006 cbr 1000rr. It has been custom painted with a color scheme that I chose and laid out myself. The wheels are chromed with pearl yellow spokes. I ride it year round and use it for my main transportation. I usually wash it 3 times a wek. This my true love on wheels. Everything on it has been upgraded or modified to my specifications. I have done all the work but the paint myself. I dunno what all everyone on here will know about bikes, but to keep it simple I will just throw my dyno results out there. In June of this year my bike made 163.7 hp 84 fps of torque at the tire. With a full tank of gas it weighs 360 lbs. From the factory it was only making 142 hp at the tire. So my hardwork has paid off.

Thanks made them out of running board grip from Wal-Mart. Nice little $6 mod that saves my groin muscles when I hit the brakes or I have to drop off the side in a swithback.

 

what do you stick them on with? i know a lot of tank grips are somewhat removable, or at least aren't permanently fused.

They are actually backed with 3m adhesive. I did not have to put anything on them. I will tell you one thing though, do not get them anywhere but Wal-Mart. I tried to use grip from Northern Tool and O'riellys for other people after I made mine. As for the removal of the tank grip, you can use a heat gun.

First of all thanks for all of the compliments Central and Diva. I really love my bike. It is my main mode of transportation. I am medically retired from the Army so I do not have a daily commute. Now as for the performance mods' Central 4Runner, let me tell you. Wiesco forged pistons, APE valves and valve springs, Yoshimura Titanium full exhaust, k&n air filter, Dyno Jet Power Commander 3, and I have had it dyno tuned and custom mapped. I have changed the brake lines to Galfer braided lines I run EBC steel sintered pads front and rear. My pride and joy of the outside enhancements would have to be my Öhlins rear shock that I had custom valved and sprung to my weight. I am running race tech springs and valves in my fork. I have done a lot of detail work to dress up the appearance but no need in listing that as it does not make it stop and go any faster. I am now attempting to build a 4runner as I have always played in the street. I dunno what I will do to my bike next, I have been considering a slipper clutch or ABS.

What I want to know is how you managed to drop over 80lbs in weight off that thing without having it in race trim (even then, still a ridiculously low number). I know for a fact those bikes have a 450lb wet weight stock. Dry, they're around 390, which would make your figure much more reasonable if it were dry weight.

How on earth did you lose so much weight off it? That is a TON lighter than stock. I think my f4i weighs something like 376 lbs with no gas or oil.
