Any mountain bikers out there? Looking to buy a full-suspension mountain bike. I have found the best looking deals on craigslist, as I am looking to spend in the neighborhood of $500. Any thoughts and/or recommendations?

 

If I were looking for another (!) mountain bike and wanted used I'd head over to my local MTB club or mountain bikers' page on facebook, say what I'm looking for and ask what's available.

 

Long time mtb here. Depending on what type of riding, 500$ for a decent full squish is probably unrealistic. If you're riding dirt paths or double track, you're probably good. Any single track? I would think you will end up spending more money on repairs/upgrades.
