man i wish you would have posted this last week...I had everything you need for the swap. I just sold the tranny last week. I live in kitty hawk but get up that way often.

I have everything else you need for the swap

pedals
clutch mast cyl
line to slave cyl
slave cyl
shifters and boots
shift fork
computer but the auto one should work
don't need to swap the harness...just get rid of neutral saftey switch.

done this swap several times...pretty easy...takes a weekend

pm me if your interested in the parts. I'm headed to the airport this weekend and could meet you somewhere with the parts.

In about a week or so I'll have a truck I'm gonna be getting for the engine. It has a 5 speed in it. I need a auto tranny though cuz mine is a bit mangled. If you interested get a hold of me.

On your automatic the bellhousing is part of the tranny (just like the transfer case), but on the 5spd its not. Now would be a great time to swap out that chain driven transfer case for a gear driven one as well

Question- wouldn't the harness be needed for the reverse light if mandatory? You may also want to consider getting the parts needed for the beloved "clutch start cancel" switch.

Also, what climate control piece do you need? A cable for one of the sliders? A blower motor? If you're not sure you may want to wait till you have everything torn apart for the swap to see what you need

HTH,

I found the wiring harness and I think most of the engine bay wires are there.
You can splice the wires for backup lights take all of 15 minutes.
If you wnat the clutch cancel switch you can wire that in also or swap out the harness...but who the hell wants to gut the dash just for that switch?
The truck will start without the clutch being depressed...you just have to make sure its out of gear. .
I believe I still have the flywheel. I thru the clutch away. If your doing this swap you'd be stupid not to get a new clutch kit. Personally I'd get a new heavier flywheel also.

I'll give you a call later to discuss all this.

thanks for telling me about the bellhousing, on the climate control the hot/cold silder is bent to hell and the blue cable to the heat valve is also bent to hell, but valve is open, but i think my heater core in clogged. because i get no heat from my dash, but the heater core in the armrest is working just fine.

Driveshaft

You will also need a slightly longer rear driveshaft... I did the swap last year and love having the manual instead of the slush box.
