Hey all,
My first post and I'm already trying to buy stuff...

Anyways, I just picked up a 90 4Runner for towing duties, primarily. To that end, (and address the sagging problem 4Runners have) I'm looking for a set of Downey rear coils, preferably the HD version.

I'm also thinking I'll need a newer set of shocks to keep the whole truck from bouncing around. Esp. when I'm towing. I'm looking for set of Ranchos (5000, RSX, or 9000X) or a set of Bilsteins. If anyone has a set lying around, please let me know.

Can't really help you out with what I (don't) have, but I let me make a suggestion if I may.
Monroe shocks @ Advance are the same as Rancho's...literally, they're both made by Tenneco and some of the Monroe's actually cost more than the RS5000's.
I'm in the midst of getting new shocks, and after owning both pro comp's, OME's, trailmasters, and rancho's- I'm still considering the Monroe's.

As far as springs go- Downey's are great, but there's no way I'd pay the new price for them. In my personal opinion I'd go with OME (not OEM) springs and shocks. I found this optimum for towing

Stay in Charlotte and you'll be fine- but come up here to the mountains and you're going to be begging for more power!
