WTB DIN radio pocket for 1990 4runner

Hey there!
I just got a 1990 4runner (first Toyota, I just switched over from Subaru) and I'm looking for the little pocket thing that goes below one's stereo headunit.

I'm in Auburn, Washington, so anyone in this area would be excellent, and if possible, I'd like to come pick it up. If nobody from my area has one, I'd definately be willing to have it shipped to me, I just need it, and fast!

Thanks in advance!

They are really cheap- you might be able to get one at a stereo shop or auto parts place and not have to bother with shipping. Any way you go about it, good luck!

Are they 4runner specific? I have one from my old Subie, but I don't know if it will fit. When I go to the store, should I make sure it fits prior to purchasing it, or is it pretty standard throughout most makes and models?

I guess I'm asking, what are the dimensions, and how does it attach to the stereo bracket?

There is a set of metal brackets that hook the pocket to the radio unit. I think that all Toyota (and probably many other import) pockets are a standard size. The one from your Subaru may work- I'd give it a shot.

Wal Mart carries a Scoshe pocket that fits, you can get a Metra pocket at other locations as well.

Something like $8-$12 bucks.

Do a search on ebay for 4Runner pocket and guaranteed there will be one in an ebay store. Just use it to get the part # as those guys will rape you on shipping. They'll sell the pocket for $6 and charge you $15 for shipping.

once you have the part # do a froogle.com search or just go to autozone and see if they carry it if you want the metra pocket, if the Scoshe pocket will do just go to your local Wal Mart.
