I haven't found anything worth springing for on autotrader, and the only trucks i found worth anything were sold when i got in from sea (im in the navy). I am looking for a 1989-1995.5 truck, short bed, single cab 4x4 with a (preferrably low mile, under 175k) 22re. Does anyone know of a good place to find a decent truck in the Virginia area? Or, does anyone have any friends with 3rd gens for sale, possibly?

I have exactly what you are looking for, 92 4x4 short bed reg. cab w/22re 5 spd. 163,000 miles, virtually no rust. But, I am like 250 miles away. :pat: If you are interested at all let me know.

 

I have a 88 pick up 22RE. I dont know the difference from it to a 89. Its 7inchs of lift with 35inch tires and runs great....in Springfield VA

The difference of an '88 and an '89 is the difference between a 2nd gen pickup and a 3rd gen pickup, which is quite a bit. The body on an '88 is a bit more squared whereas the body of an '89 is a bit more rounded.
