WTB: 1st gen. 4Runner

I am in the market for a first generation 4Runner. I would prefer a V6, but 4 cylinders are not out of the question. Must have a manual transmission. Must be in good running condition. Not looking to spend anywhere over $5000. Black, Grey, Silver and White are preferred.

Although I plan to do some modifications down the road, I would like to be able to drive this around without worries for at least a year or so without any major maintainence.

Thanks

I live in Ohio, so that might work out perfectly.

What year is it and do you have any pictures? If you dont want to post the pictures could you send them to PopiloAR@muohio.edu

Thanks

IMO, you'd be better off w/ the dependable, reliable 22RE 4 cylinder instead of the 3.slow time bomb V6.

Well...I am new to the Toyota world so I really don't know what's best except for the fact that 84 and 85's are gem's. I come from the Honda/Acura sceen but it wasnt as fun as when I go 4-Wheeling with my buddies Tacoma.

I guess you could change that first post to say 4 cylinders only.

If by time bomb you are refering to the head gaskets...those issues started with the 2nd gens.
