I have a 1984 toyota xtra cab pu i ant to trade for your 1st gen 4 runner.
i would prefer a solid axel one that is in the about the same condition maybe with a little body damage (i dont want junk) if it has ifs it should be pretty clean inside again i dont care about a little body damage also i dont care what the paint looks like. 22re is prefered no 3.slo.

my truck has a pretty clean interior with the exception of one cut in the passenger side door panel( in picture) and the plastic in the xtra cab part is missing but it still looks ok otherwise it has a clean interior. the exterior needs paint and a little body work also the bed has rust in the floor of it, thats why it has a bed liner. the engine is a 22r with 150k on it, it runs good, starts up everytime and hasnt given me any problems so far. it has a close to new stereo system in it couple months old, its plenty loud for me. has brand new windshield in it. if you have any other questions let me know also might consider other trades. the only reason i want to do this is because i really want a 4runner.

 

how much would you sell your truck for? 4 or 5 speed? any motor pics?

 

well im not really interested in selling it because it is my only vehicle and i need to get to school and work everyday, so thats why im really only interested in a straight trade. but who knows.

if i was to sell it im not sure what i would sell it for, it is a 5spd and if you want i can get some motor pics, i just have to go outside and take them.

 

Good luck with that man, I wanted to do the same thing when I had my black p/u. I still have my black one, but I rolled it and swapped cabs so now it looks a bit different and is'nt in as good of shape! Try selling it for a bit more than someone will pay and maybe you'll be surprised with an intrested buyer. Then be on the lookout for a 4runner! ride the bus to school and carpool with someone from work and then you'll know your committed!

 

ya ive thought about just selling it. the class part isnt really the problem but the work is i start work at 10 o clock at night and i dont have anyone to take me. i might talk to my dad and see if we could work somthing out so i could use his truck for awhile. plus i searched for a truck for months before i found this one so who knows how long it would take to find a 4runner that i could afford.

too far away and too rusty for my taste.

heres a little more infor on it,the stereo system in this thing cost me 400 bucks about 2 months ago.
and it has a brand new radiator and timeing chain in it only 5 thousand miles old everything is professionally installed. has a cb radio with a pa speaker.
