Tacoma Manual Hubs

My sister's friend has a Tacoma with manual hubs, she is open to the idea of selling them, but she would need something to replace them.

Basically, she is looking to get a fair price for the hubs, and whoever buys them would have to swap thier autos for them. Is it even possible to put auto hubs on a manual hub equipped Taco?

I thought I'd mention it, since I know the conversion to manual is expensive and she needs some cash.

You'd have to take hers on and off too. Liek I said, I'm not involved in this and she knows nothing of how to work on these. Whoever wants them would have to take them off of her truck and put yours back on her truck. I know it's not hard, but I have my own junk to do. This would probably only be worthwhile for someone in Socal

I do not believe it is as simple as just switching hubs. I think the differential is different as well as the cv axles and wheel hubs but I could be wrong on that. I've only owned my tacoma for a couple of weeks.

the diffs are the same, but the outer part of the CV and the wheel hubs are different.

Well, that sounds to be too much trouble. If it is as involved as Tanto says, it probably isn't worth anybodies time. It woudl have to be done correctly to make this work for her.

It is not that bad. The cv's just pop out. Just swap cv's at the same time. The spindles would also have to be swapped. It is really just changing parts over. I would have some trouble because I doubt she has abs ports in hers so that is a show stopper for me on this unless I pressed out the old bearings and had new ones pressed in.

Liek I said, by "involved", I mean me doing anything. hahahaha I don't have time to fart right now, so swapping spindles and cv's is the last thing I want to do.

I'm just trying to make the connection where someone needing manual hubs can meet up with a girl who wouldn't mind losing hers for some fair cash. That's all I have to do with it. If you want em' you gotta swap em for her.

As far as it being a straight swap. I don't know what all is involved to get the auto hubs working....vaccum lines, electronics, etc. But, simply putting auto hubs on if they don't work, won't cut it.
