Pitt. PA: FS, 1988 SR5 4Runner, lifted on 35's, custom paint...NEED QUICK SALE..CHEAP

PRICE DROP....AGAIN.....2400 FIRM TO SELL SOON!!!! THIS IS R E D I C U L O U S !!!!!

Well, once again my 4runner is on the chopping block. I don't like it, but my other project is more important to me and one has to go. I need a quick sale, so I've priced it accordingly. Please DO NOT hit me with some low ball offers, as the price is already below what I want to ask and have been offered in the past.

Mileage: 217,000
Engine: 3.0 V6
Tranny: 5 spd
Options: PW, PB, PS, Cruise, Sunroof, Power locks

Good: Extremely good body condition, only one area on driver side rocker needs attention (damaged on some big rocks...minor overall).

Frame is also in extremely good condition.

Tires are less than 5 months old....paid 720.00 for them.

Exhaust system is very good.

Suspension is all good, only needs a passenger upper ball joint and a shock bushing on the passenger side. Ball joints have been replaced, so there are bolts, no rivets.

Top or sunroof does NOT leak. Interior is in better than average condition....no rips or tears in any of the seats. Carpet could use a cleaning in the bed area.

Tranny shifts smooth, clutch is strong, brakes are fine, runs cool, no oil burning or knocking, no leaks. New slave cylinder 6 months old.

__________________________________________________ _________________________

Not so Good: Motor has a small miss from 3 years ago when it's timing belt broke. It's a small compression loss in the #2 cylinder. I've driven the truck this way daily since I purchased it. I've driven it this way, and off roaded it this way...it's a small loss of power, but it doesn't make it any less reliable or capable.

Rear window regulator needs replaced. You have to put the window up and down by hand...the motor is burned out.

E-brake cable needs replaced.

A/C doesn't work, but the equipment is still in there.

So, all in all, I feel this is a damn nice truck. I get compliments EVERYWHERE I go...it's pretty endless. People love this truck to no end, and they make it their duty to tell me about it. I've been stopped by the state police, stopped by a bunch of bikers, had head nods from volunteer fireman, and have had countless people waiting for me to come back out of a store.

For the lift it has, it also rides and handles pretty well. For the age, it's certainly a nice vehicle. The green might be a bit much at first, but honestly when you realize the attention it gets, and the fact that it truly does look pretty nice cleaned up, no lie....it grows on you.

I really need to sell this vehicle SOON, so I've decided 2900 bucks is where it's at to sell it quick. I NEED THIS GONE...I've got bills backing up that won't wait. I already have several locals interested, but noone has come through with the cash, and I've decided to offer it to YotaTech to see that it goes in the right hands.

Call for info 412-969-6041 or post here if you'd like. You can also email me at damian@omenspeedworks.com

Now on to the pics......

Well, I mean, it seems to me the pictures speak for themselves, but to be specific, there is one spot that is visible when you take the top off about 1" x 1.5" and then the rocker panel that I mentioned which you can see in the on driver side picture. There is also one TEENY spot by the driver taillight that's all but invisible.

There is no rust repair on this vehicle, it's all rust free for life

That truck is a perfect candidate for a 3.4 swap!

Good luck with the sale.

Until next July! I just got the thing inspected. I can't believe noone is buying this freakin thing. I need to put it on Autotrader I guess. I thought yotatech and craigslist would cut it, but I HAVE to pay my bills SOON and this is my ticket to pay them.

I can't believe I am gonna lose on this truck like this. 2500 is insanity for this truck...I'd have killed to find a deal like this when I wanted a lifted truck.

Not at the moment, but I assure you the interior is 7.5-8 out of 10. All carpet is there, roof liner, no tears in any of the seats, front or rear. Carpet could use a cleaning in the bed area and there is a hole in each door panel from tweeters. Truck is clean. Engine bay is a little dirty from last off-road run, but everything is well taken care of. No deteriorated hoses and worn out .

I'll get some pics.

Hey,

I've been trying to sell my 1985 4Runner for over a month now. I don't understand what's going on in the Toyota community. 3 years ago, you could sell these for whatever you wanted, especially in the Northeast.

Now no one seems like they want to "pay". $2500 is not a lot for the best 4Runner, year and generation, ever made. Hell, $3500 is a steal if you ask me. These won't be around much longer. Some people just don't get it.

My sympathies are with you my friend.

Peace,

Another guy with a low mileage 1985 4Runner that won't sell ...
