Mildly Built 2nd gen priced to sell

Well I was going to sell my 4runner a while back but decided not to but now I need to sell it. It's a 91 with a 3.4 and 5spd. Trail gear sliders and Bilstein shocks were recently installed. I'm in the Atlanta-Athens, GA area and I'm only trying to deal people who are interested in buy. I'm can't run around for people who just want to see it.

$3300 is my asking price

Here's a link to my craigslist ad with recent pics and description. Call me at the # in the ad or PM me. Thanx.

That's a great lookin rig! $3,300 seems very low (You interested in a nice 1st gen?! ). Is there anything wrong with it or something that needs attention? How's it run down the highway at 75mph? How many total miles are on the body and how many are on the engine and tranny? How long ago did you do the swap?

i got to say I'm interested, but like above is there anything wrong with it? I'd be driving 500 miles to and from work every 2 weeks and it would have to be reliable. most worried about reliability issues engine, tranny, gears...... and also what kind of milage does it get? I'm in mobile, al

It has a 3.4 swap done to it???? Or did you just do a typo. If it's the stock engine it's a 3.slow not 3.4.

If you look at his pictures and craigslist ad you'll see it indeed does have a 3.4 in it.

The price is that way because the body has 370k on it and I'm not looking to make a killing on it. There's no rust on the frame or body at all. The tires were purchased used and 1 of them (BFG A/T) had a wierd uneveness in the thread but when it evened out the outside was lower than the rest of the tire. I didn't notice until I got them installed but I got a good deal so I can't complain. So there's a slight slow vibration when you hit around 75mph which I believe is a tire issue but I'm not 100% sure. I drive it daily so I keep it mechanically sound.

There's a slight leak in the rear transfer output so I 'll prob have that seal replaced. Other than those small problems haven't found anything else to be out of wack. Engine has around 175k on it now but has had regular srvice and runs strong. Almost all the miles I've put on it are work miles. That's long country roads, some highway with some in town driving not a lot of city.

I test-drove this rig and I can vouch for it being a really nice setup. I wound up going with a tacoma, but it was only after agonizing over this one for a very long while. The seller is seriously the nicest guy you'll ever deal with, and very enthusiastic and knowledgeable about his rig. And patient, did I mention patient? My wife and I took up at least 1.5 hours of his time going over it with a fine-tooth comb, and his great attitude never wavered. I know I wouldn't have been as patient.

In the end she wanted something that was quieter at 75mph, since we do a lot of highway miles. But if you're thinking about checking this rig out, I would definitely recommend it.

Why are you selling? I'm interested but the distance makes this hard for me;I'm a big chicken when it comes to buying high priced items on the internet.

Wow. I see you got a 99 Taco witha 4cyl 5spd. That's a great choice for the driving you do, my cousin has a 4cyl taco and it's great on gas. Stay safe nd thanks for checking me out.

i've got a 94 SAS 4runner SR5. All pro front bumper with Warn winch, Hella 500s, Trail gear 4" SAS up front with bilstein shocks, 85 yota axle rebuilt with new parts. 5.29's front/rear, homebrew front driveshaft, 3.0 auto 167k, runs great, etc.

feel free to check my for sale page if you're interested, or just PM me for more details.

Rig drives fine, I can meet halfway for a trade if interested too.

Why can't you live closer! I'm starting to dip my foot into the needs of a 4Runner and this one would be a great starting point. Dang you!

Best of luck with the sale, btt for ya.

I agree.....you should live closer to the West Coast. I would be all over this one but 500 miles is about as far as I want to travel.

Good luck with the sale.....and
