FS in Pitt, Pa 1988 SR5 Toyota 4Runner on 35's

PRICE REDUCED....AGAIN!!! 3500.00 obo....edit dash lights fixed and working now

Up for sale here is my Green Machine. This truck gets TONS of attention everywhere I go, and I hate to give it up. I just have too many other vehicle projects though, and I need to fund those for now.

The truck is super clean inside, outside, and under the hood. It's very well kept and maintained with all hoses, belts, timing, plugs, wires, and other common items having been addressed. It also has a new slave cylinder, clutch, u joints, and BRAND NEW 35's all the way around.

Inside there is a nice CD player with a components system, rounded out with a nice sub in the back.

The truck is lifted with a mix kit, so I'm really not sure of manufacturer. I just know that overall it appears to be about 5" of lift. The 35's only rub ever so slightly at full lock when the suspension is compressed a bit.

The truck isn't without flaw though....the rear regulator needs replaced, so for now the rear window needs put down manually. The dash lights also are not working....but I should hopefully have that fixed. One cylinder has low compression due to a slightly tweaked valve that was the result of the timing belt breaking at idle a year ago. It has been replaced and has been running fine for a year now...it just lost a bit of low end torque. 4Lo still rips though...lol.

So overall, the truck isn't perfect, but for it's age it's in damn good shape and it rides/drives awesome. Very nice...easily a daily driver....which is what it is to me now.

I am asking 4800.00 due to the new tires that were just put on it. I am open to offers, but I am in no rush to sell so lowballing will be turned away quickly. More pics will be added tomorrow of engine bay and interior.

Post here or call 412-969-6041

How's the rust situation? Was it fixed when it was painted, or has it always been rust-free?

No, no....the truck never had any rust. It's been repainted twice. It was always heavily maintained, and it's only been off road about 10 times in it's life...lol.

Wow, if I had the $ laying around and didn't have as many loans as I do, I'd be all over this.

I wish there were more people that felt like you do...I haven't even had one solemn offer in four weeks of it being listed. I think its the color? This truck is awesome, and for something on brand new 35's with a lift, and a clean body...like 3500-4000 bucks is a steal in my book!

Every time I looked for lifted trucks I never saw anything on 35's for under 5g's unless it was BEAT. This thing has hardly ever been off road.

Whatever...guess I just will end up keeping it, cause I am not going lower...its just stupid to keep dropping the price.

IMHO - its the color.. looks like rotted L trim on the windows... if it lived a few years here in the NE - its got rust.

Price is good for parts IMHO...

Well, the way things are shaping up it looks like I am just going to keep it for now. I am going to paint it a burnt orange, fab an aluminum roof rack, do a front bumper, and regear it. I am also going to ditch the A/T's and do muds hopefully in time for winter. So for now, I guess I am gonna pass on a trade or sale. I am not gonna settle for 3g's or something...it's worth more.

I gotta tell you, I was just outside looking the truck over. I found a spot of rust with the top off right behind the cab....small though...1" by 1". I found one minute spot where the visor is also...1/4" if your lucky. I scoured the entire truck though.....I'm tellin you...if there's rust I sure can't find it. The underneath is CLEAN, no flaking frame, no flaking crossmembers, no flaking anything. The rear axle is even painted and smooth. It's like it was pressure washed underneath all the time...I know it has been since I've owned it. You'd have to see in person...the truck is stupid clean I tell you!

Remove the lower valance and windshield visor and paint it the rig white with a black rear roof.... I think that would look nice IMO

Should I tow it to the junkyard? Clean truck that gets looks, chic's screaming at me, dudes givin me thumbs up on a daily basis isn't worth anything to anyone? Trade for something partially?

Haven't checked this in a bit....

New 35's stay with the truck, plus I have new 31's sitting downstairs already.

I'm up for a trade for an Eclipse depending on condition and if it's an AWD/5spd only.
