Downey Air Cleaner Kit
Downey 3.0 Air Cleaner Kit. Kit has been modified and was installed, but never used. $100.00 (or make offer) + shipping, paypal only. Details (see pics):
I machined the mounting tabs of the casting to fit the wheel well better, machined a pocket for the gasket that fits between the casting and VAFM, reamed the 4 thru holes to reuse the spacers from the stock air cleaner cap, and machined a fitting to replace the garbage that Downey used to attach the Resonator tube. I also cut the intake tube length to fit between the throttle housing and VAFM without contacting either. Afterwards, I installed a 1" body lift and the tube was now slightly short, so I cut a short length of tube and silicone hose to restore length. I also stuck the CARB sticker to the truck and managed to pull it off in one piece with no rips or tears.

I am still thinking about this and the only worry i have is wether or not the tube modifications will still fit ok on mine. I dont, and will not have any body lift. Will this tube still fit fine?

The intake tube will work with or without a body lift and allow you to mount the air cleaner without stress on any of the components.
