Anyone interested in full size Traffic Signal Lights? **UPDATE: PICS ADDED**

**UPDATE: PICS HAVE BEEN ADDED** scroll down to see.

I have about 4 full size Traffic Signal Lights...you know, those yellow canisters that are hung at intersections that tell you when to "Stop", "Yield" or "Go" by emitting red, yellow or green light. They are some where between 3-4ft tall.

Well anyway, the city has replaced a few lights at intersections w/ new L.E.D. models and disgarded the old ones. Now these older ones are sitting in my garage. I've wired one up so it will work when you plug it into any wall outlet. 120V I believe. (great for game rooms or whatever.) The others are still "as is".

I'm just curious if anyone would be interested in buying one of these. I've seen them sell on Ebay for around $65 + Shipping for Non-Working models and $125 + Shipping for Working models.

If anyone is interested, I'll post pics.

okay, I'll take some pics tonight and post them 1st thing Wednesday morning.

If memory serves me correct, they weigh around 45lbs. I can't say for sure b/c I haven't had to pick one up in months to move it. I'll do my best to weigh them tonight.

If you're unsure about wiring them to work off any constant 120V source, don't be. These things are soooo easy to fool around with. I bought a switch box online that you mount inside the light housing and it does all the hard stuff for you. You simply wire it up and you're good to go. I'm a noob when it comes to anything electrical, and even I figured this out.

Anyway, pics coming tomorrow.

Yeah, I'd be interested in some pictures, and if you could also PM me a price. I think the shipping might be a little high, I remember these guys being heavy, but I think it would look good in my garage. Thanks man!

Yeah, the one I'm keeping, I've wired it up and now it's hanging on my back porch! (no it doesn't hang there all the time, I just have not taken it down since our 4th of July party!) They are alot of fun for parties and what not.

JHupp sending you a PM as we speak...

I meant to add in case you were wondering, the reason the difference in $$ for a working vs. a non-working model is b/c the Sequencer Kit that you have to install in the light housing to make the stop light work off a 120v source is around $50 w/shipping.

This just gives you the option of buying a more expensive light that works, or buying one that doesn't and then buying the Sequencer Kit and installing it yourself.

Curious about this Sequencer Kit, here's where I got mine. Again very easy to install.

Okay, took some pictures last night.

Before I proceed, I want to clear something up. I thought I had 4 Traffic Signal Lights. Well I do, but 3 of them are the Turn Signal Lights. The other is your standard Signal Light. Now I personally think the Turn Signal Lights are more rare of a light to have b/c at every intersection the number of turn signal lights are are outweighted by the number of regular stop and go lights. Just wanted to let you know. You'll see the arrows on the lenses in the pics.

Oh and the "green" covers looks blue in person, but when the bulb is on, a green light is produced.

You'll notice 5 Lights in the pics. The one w/o the lense covers is mine. Just wanted to show these covers can be removed.

HERE'S THE ONLY ONE THAT IS YOUR STANDARD STOP AND GO LIGHT

NOTICE THE "ARROW" TO TURN. I HAVE 3 OF THESE.

TOP SHOT

THE WING NUTS HOLDING THE COVERS ON

THE COVER OPEN

THEN OPEN THE METAL HOUSING TO SEE THE SEQUENCER KIT INSTALLED.

TO GIVE YOU AN IDEA OF THEIR SIZE

LIGHT UP AT NIGHT!

Now imagine if you had one hanging from the ceiling! It looks really good then. Sometimes if I'm working in the garage and it's plugged in, and my wife walks in to tell me to do something, I look at the street light and tell her once it goes RED she has to stop talking! Always makes her mad...and then I get in trouble

Just to give you an idea on shipping rates...

From my zip to the PA area, it's about 50 bucks. So from my zip to out West, I'd say between 50-60 bucks.
