*SPF*Aisin hubs, SA outer, IFS inner (26 spline) $50 shipped

I have one pair of mis-matched Aisin hubs with SA outers (curved dials) and IFS inners (26 spline count inner) for sale $50 shipped.

I bought these off Ebay a few years back, rebuilt them and could never get them to disengage fully on my 94 Runner.

After searching more here, I realized that I had the wrong outer hubs, which is why they didnt work fully.

photo of the curved dials:

I thought these were fully SA hubs but the spline count is 26 on the inner hub on both.

I now have a correct set of hubs on my truck and dont need these anymore.

I have 100% feedback on Ebay as megibson.

Paypal preferred, but USPO money order if it's a hassle.

Maybe use as a set of spare parts or if you own an IFS rig and a SA rig you'll have some spares.

These could use a rebuild and a coat of paint. Will also need 2 more cover bolts as they are missing 2. see first photo.

Highway miles only, no 4X4 miles on these.

Thanks!

Mike

A bump for a seller with honesty and integrity. I had already purchased these as 30 spline Aisin manual hubs (SFA) but they are in fact 26 spline Aisin manual hubs (IFS) with a SFA outer dial...as all the parts are interchangeable except the splines.

I asked Mike to check the spline count, just to be sure, and when Mike discovered the discrepancy he immediately emailed me and refunded my money.

That is top notch in my book!!!

I think that you may have the same problem as I did.

Th inner hub fits exactly on the IFS axle, but because the outer hub is a SA (solid axle) there isnt enough clearance to fully disengage the wheels., maybe like 1/8" if that.

These may be only good for parts but werent plug and play on my truck.

welcome aboard,
Mike

I am interested in the hubs for my 4runner. I already have the outer hubs from a previous ebay purchase but have not yet acquired the inner hubs. Will the sa outers work as trail spares? Will they stay locked or unlocked if i had to use them in a pinch?

I believe they would work in that application as when I had them on my 94, I left them locked as they wouldnt unlock by turning the dial. to get it to unlock fully, I would have had to remove the outer and reinstall in the free position.

as it was I left them locked as it was basically the same as having ADD and I could shift into 4x4 on the fly.

I have a functioning set now and it works fine so I think you'd be set.

Cheers,
Mike

Let me know what payment you prefer, and i'll take those hubs off your hands. I have paypal so it won't be a problem.

How can you tell the difference in the outer hub I think a guy may have done this to me on ebay. So any help would be greatly appreciated.

SFA is 31 spline. IFS is 26 spline.
SFA dial is curved on the outside face. IFS dial is flat.
Easiest way to tell.

yeah, check out the last pic. It shows how the dial is curved. The IFS outer dial is completely flat.

It may not be intentional. I thought I had the right hubs for years, until I found out about the curved/flat deal. The hubs do appear to go together and work unless it's on a vehicle, then they wont fully disengage/engage.

thanks guys. I think mine (inner and outer) are both IFS. However they wont dis-engage fully. I'll just have to take them apart one day and see if I can figure them out.
