88 4Runner - Need interior junk
Hola. First post to this forum. (Go figure: I'm trying to buy something.)
I've recently acquired a 1st Gen Runner (88 22RE) that was thoroughly abused. I won't go into all of it, but one of the things that really puzzles me is why the PO decided to replace the entire dash with 2nd Gen parts
. This obviously does not look/fit/hold very well - to say the least. (I'd post pics, but the truck is currently in the shop.) Honestly, it's kinda funny.
That said: I'm dying to get my hands on an entire dash for my truck. I need the upper and lower instrument panels, dash pad, gauge cluster trim, glove box assy, etc. And not only that, I need all of the parts that go with it (heater control panel, actual gauge cluster where all parts work - mine has a new oil pressure sender that doesn't work, speedo's on, mileage is so far off I'd be surprised if it shows 1/3 the actual mileage, gas gauge doens't work, etc.).
I pretty much need everything you can see while sitting in the driver's seat facing forward (minus the steering wheel, colunm, etc.). Any stock pieces have been thrashed. Yeah. All of it.
I've searched lots of places and have come up with unrealistic numbers. I've scoured EBay, local junk yards, etc. Someone suggested picking up a rig from a tow yard and parting it out, but I don't want to spend all that cash either, so I've decided to throw this out to see if anyone's got this.
I'm willing to pay for shipping (since the parts are relatively light) to 94611 if someone's willing to ship that large box out. PM me your price, if you've got it all.
Oh, one more thing: I guess the color has to be grey. Brown will be ok if the price is right, but considering how much work the PO put into making this ENTIRE rig black, grey will probably be the only color that works (I don't think this gen came with black interior.....).
Thx.
