Sale pending to FUZION but in case he doesn't want it, here is a picture. It came off my girlfriends 99 4runner with the big plates on the front of the frame rails. It will fit on the other style but you'll have to fab up some plates to fit the mounts on the bumper and weld them straight onto your frame.

Smile 99+ Front Bumper on 96-98

Hello,
I was able mount the 01 LTD Front Bumper that I bought from Eric on my 98. I just had to;
1. a.) Remove the 98 Front Bumper, b.) Remove the Two Ends in the Front of the Frame..One 12mm Bolt in the middle each, 2. a.) Mount up the 99+ Bumper using the "Side Mounting Brackets (LH and RH), b.) Semi-Snug the Single Bolt on the LH and RH Front Bumper Arms to the Frame, c.) Push up and Level the Bumper, d.) Mark each of Front Bumper Arms where the 2nd Bolt for the 96-98 frames, e.) Remove the Bumper Arm from the bumper, one at a time, and Drill a hole for the 2nd bolt. Install 2nd bolt in each side and ALL will be Solid. Did not need to mess with the extra support bracket that Brian was pointing to earlier.

I picked up the bumper from Eric and installed it that evening, was in a rush and did not take pictures., sorry.

Mike

The tools I used were;
3/8ths wratchet, 12mm, 14mm sockets with one six inch extension
12mm wrench, 14mm wrench, 3/8ths Drill with bit matching the bolts for the frame.

I removed the Crush bar from the 01 Bumper..less weight to carry while mounting. Installed the crush bar after bumper was mounted.

Smile New Color Matched Bumpers for a 2000 4Runner

Brian, Here is DoubleZero4x4 looking for your bumpers in the general forum: 95.5-2004 Tacomas & 96-2002 4Runners

I know it has to be possible; my question is where would I find these parts and where would I get some technical input from those who have done this?

I know I am probably not the first person to want to do this mod and I probably wont be the last one.
