It could work you just have to swap out the oem gears and open diff for the 4.56's and arb, however i would reccomend towing it to where you live and buying a round trip ticket in case tou didnt like it.

 

I can't take that much time off right now to drive up there and back. It would be more feasible to buy a round trip plane ticket in case I didn't like it. I'd just pull the 3rd out of my 96 and bring it to drive back but it is an e-locker and won't fit your housing. I'd be more tempted to just fill the sucker with gear oil and test my luck on the 800 miles home.
