More pictures after detail...

Hey guys,

I don't know if you can tell by these pictures, but it looks a lot better after I spent $230.00 to get it fully detailed inside and out, including a cut and buff which really took out a lot of the scratches.

I started finishing up the passenger side fender yesterday, and I hope I can get it all done today. It's a lot of work trying to form the metal, etc. If I do, this week I'll get it line-x'd and it will be ready to go.

Is it a manual transmission? Also, how many miles are on the truck?

It's an automatic transmission.

Well, it's finally over. The mods have all been done, I hate to say it. I'll get the fender areas line-x'd this week, and it will be ready to go! It's going to look so good, I'm really going to have a hard time getting rid of it.

Ok, it's at the shop to get the fenderwells and kick panels line-x'd. It's costing me $475, but I think it's going to look fantastic!

What's everyone's thoughts on this being a fair price?

I assume you mean the price on the 4Runner and not the Line-X.

I think it's a very fair price, it's just gonna take the right person that wants all of the custom mods you have. Hell, for someone that wanted a 3rd gen to SAS it's a good buy.

Yeah, the 4runner. The line-x is actually cheaper than the quote I had in TN at $600, so I was happy with that.

Yeah, I thinking about someone looking to SAS a nice rig, this would be great, because they won't need to do much of anything other than the rear suspension and possibly not if they do what Schaeffer did height wise. It will easily clear 37's with the fender trimming, it has a flat undercarriage, and everything is in good working condition. I absolutely hate the fact that I'm selling this thing. It totally sucks, but I guess marriage is a sacrifice at times. My next rig later in life will be a custom built buggy!!!

Well, if everything goes as planned, I think I'll be picking up the 4runner today completed with all the fenders trimmed out with Line-X. I can't wait to see it.

Final Pictures...Complete & Ready to Go...

It looks great in person, it makes me want to keep it. Of course there's the scratches and small dents here and there, but it does still look rugged and ready to get back out on the trails with it's new owner.

No trades for me at this time. It's a great truck, and with a good driver and spotter, it's a blast to drive on the trails as you've all seen.

WOW Chirs what a sad time, and now since it's looking soooo good, I bet it's even harder. It's an amazing truck, and an even more amzing driver/friend. Someone help him out and get this sale moving.

Yeah, Scott I totally agree. I don't really want to sell it, but I've got two folks looking, one that's apparently checking with his bank today. If it goes, it will be good financially, but not for me mentally. The amount of time I've spent fabbing everything is unreal, and it's a hobby I'll never fully get rid of. It's just right now, it's more important to my wife and I to get out of debt so she can attand school this Fall full-time.

I'm really looking forward to hanging out with all you guys again at Tellico next month. It's going to be awesome to be there, but instead of driving I'll be filming and spotting as much as everyone would like. It's going to be great!

I'll toast to that . We'll have plenty of beers there to help drown your sorrows, now worries about that. Glad to hear the sell is going relativley quick, what difference a detail job makes.
