Nick and Rhiannon's Trip to MT...Definitely not uneventful!

Here's a quote from Nick's email to me when they finally made it home from CO to MT:

Rhiannon made it a point that she was going to run over some ลลลล by the time we got home. She did. On our way home, it was dark out, and we were passing a semi truck, and we couldn't see it before it was too late, a dead deer right in the middle of our lane. It would have been horrible news for any other vehicle. We both held on for dear life(no pun intended), and we just cruised right over it, it was just like a little bump in the road. We both thought we were S.O.L. We were both pretty alert after that.
I never had intended to design the 4runner for high speed deer jumping, but it appears it made it through just fine!

Chris

P.S. They are apparently going to take it out on Sunday, so hopefully they'll post some pictures on here at it's new home.

Just a quick update! Nick got back to me and said that whenever he's ready to sell the 4runner again in the future, he'd call me first. I told him that I'd buy it back whenever it date comes in the future.

I'm excited about it, even though it's most likely years into the future when it happens. I miss 4wheeling and keeping up-to-date with all that's going on over here.

Guys, you won't believe it. I might be the proud owner of my 4runner again. Nick contacted me yesterday saying he's heading off to the army and needs to sell the 4runner. We'll see what happens. Stay tuned!

Guys, I wish I could, but my UTV Rally is the same weekend. Boy that sure would be a reunion, though. I might be able to hit the next one, but man that's a far trip. Nothing is finalized yet, it really depends on the price, because I was hoping he would be keeping it a little longer than this.

Hey guys,

If Nick gets back to me soon and agrees with my price, I'm buying the 4runner back from him very soon. I'm very excited. What's the dates for the next SE4RJ, because I'm going to try to make it. I'm moving to AZ, as well, so me and schaffer can bicker at each other all the time.

My 2nd Annual UTV Rally is May 15-17th, 2008 if anyone's around or interested to come out and wheel Moab with me in the 4runner, that would be fabulous! I can't wait. One of the first things on the list is a new bumper...anybody got any recommendations for one that's really high clearance and non-tube? I haven't been in this scene for what seems like forever.

At least it's the not the same time as our Rally, which was last year. I move our dates. It will be a long trek from AZ, but I'm going to try to make it.

Cool-get four matching tires this time though! That's a hell of a long drive to be riding on the spare!

Well, what 35" tires is everyone running these days? I'm so out of the loop, but all I hear about are the Toyo's and the Nitto's. Will any 35's fit on my stock wheels?

Yeah 35x10.50 Swamper SSR's will fit on stock rims at 35.3" tall.

I have read an article about the new BFG MT KM2-it's gonna replace the current BFG MT KM and it looks just like a Krawler!

You did well with all terrains-not sure if the Revo comes in a 35" though?

What are they? How are ya Jim? how far will we be apart with me in Glendale? I'm only like 25 minutes from Schaffer.

I found them Jim. Where are you guys finding the best prices on the BFG's and Mickey's? 35's are okay on the IFS, these days, huh?

It takes a bit of work but my set-up w/ 315s is working fine.

Good to see you getting back in the 4Runner.

I can't say I haven't broken anything...but if you drive carefully IFS and 35's can take you quite aways.

I think the trip to Moab proved that.
