1985 SR5 4X4 Pickup, 7MGE-T powered PRICE REDUCED!

1985 Toyota SR5 4X4 x-tra cab Pickup:

Engine Details:
Rebuilt '89 7MGE with turbo pistons, Metal Head Gasket, Factory turbo setup, Rebuilt turbo, 7MGTE injectors. 230hp at 6psi about 2k miles on rebuild.
Custom air to water intercooler, Radiator in bumper. Blow off valve mounted to Intercooler.
Custom 2.5" downpipe.
Full 2.5" exhaust with muffler and cat. Passed Texas emissions easily.
Fully programmable MegaSquirtII Ecu. Directly fires the coil. Batch fire injectors.
Toyota corolla VAST ignitor to read the distributor and provide RPM to MSII.
Functional Air conditioning, blows cool not cold, converted to 134a.
Original rebuilt transmission R150? about 2k on it since rebuild.
battery relocated to drivers side, custom battery box.
2" body lift.
Custom Winch Bumper. I'm keeping the winch

Interior:
Completely factory including the stereo and EQ. Also comes with the factory trouble light. it plugs in under the dash and will reach all the way to the back of the truck, very handy.
SR5 seats.
Sunroof.
Power Windows.
Power antenna, Actually has a switch so it can be lowered or raised to clear tree branches etc.
All Factory gages work, including the tach.

Suspension:
no modifications. factory original solid front axle with Milemarker manual locking hubs.

Wheels & Tires:
White wagonwheels and 31X10.5 Kuhmo Venture MT's, Lots of tread left.

Problems:
I bought a cheap clutch from autozone before I planned on turbocharging it. It will slip a little in 4th and 5th when its cold. It seems to hold once the clutch is warmed up. If you plan on cranking up the boost it will need to be replaced with a stronger unit.

The bed and tailgate have some rusty spots, apparently common with this style of bed. No rust on the cab.

The paint is lacking, lots of sunburn/fading. The body has a few small dings, nothing major, the body and frame are straight. The frame has very light surface rust, no cancer, its good.

All in all its a good truck and quite fast for an '85 pickup. it suprises lots of people. A good clutch and you could crank up the boost and make plenty more power with it. I've tuned it to 10 psi but it is currently running only 6psi (stock boost level).

I'd like to get $5000 OBO. e-mail me at blackturbomr2@charter-net or call 940 206 4984.(change the - to a . in the e-mail addy)

I'm about 25min north of Dallas, TX.

Todd

Cool rig. Looks original except for the engine, and nobody would ever know if you didn't pop the hood (or outrun them )

Nice

Good job. I ran a 5M-GE in my rig for years, got rid of it for smog reasons. I also put a 7M-GE in my buddies 1985 toyota diesel (no smog). Still a great truck. It can be a tough swap because of the motors length. They bolt right up to the toy trannies, makes it a cheaper swap. Torqy motors, and can run high RPM's.

Yeah its alot of fun. I told myself I would never sell it but the wife and I are on a budget now so we won't have to work the rest of our lives and its just one car too many. Plus I still have my FJ40.
