1985 & 1989 4runners for sale...

Due to a new baby on the way I am going to offer up both of my 4runners for sale. I hate to see them go, but family is more important.

The first is my 1985 4runner SR5:

Chevy 350 donated by a Corvette. 7" susp lift, 4" body. 39.5 Boggers with good tread left. Full size spare (siped) for trail use only. STC soft-top & factory hardtop. Tube doors, New seats, New 5 pt. restraint belts included but not installed. 30 spline longfields installed with 2 trail runs made, Rebuilt high-angle driveline...plenty of spare parts. Does have a pin hole leak in the radiator that can be fixed which caused it to overheat at Whipper-Snapper & blow the head gasket which will also need to be fixed.
Title in hand

More pics can be seen on the Whipper-Snapper thread or on my buildup thread.

Second is my 1989 4runner:

Bone Stock except for the wheels & balding 32's.No engine, or tranny, has a busted rear driver's tail light. Have title in hand. Was going to rebuild or use for parts.

The trailer is included in the sale and has 4 new tires. tie down straps, etc.

I've got well over 9k invested here but I know how the world of resale works so I'll just say 6k for everything & roll with that.

I won't part out but will seperate the vehicles/trailer. I'll answer all questions as fast as I can, or post more pics & thanks in advance for looking. Vehicles & trailer are located in central South Carolina.

So shoot out a price on the 85! How many miles? Is there anything that needs to be fixed besides the HG? And beside that how does it run?

1985: $5k
1989: $400
Trailer: $1200

Package deal: $6k

There no way to tell the true mileage on a engine swapped 1st gen runner with previous owners. The odometer reading I can get if you need it. It ran like a champ before the incident at Whipper Snapper where I blew the head gasket by overheating it. Many here on YT can testify to that. It had some rust issues that were solved by fender trimming & welding. The whole buildup & tons of pics can be seen in my thread by clicking the link in my sig line.

Everything else works fine. lights, brakes, steering, etc.

Does the trailer have electric brakes?

If so-both axles or just one?

They'll want to add cross over steering...as I don't think you had yet...those OEM J arms are scary...easily remedied and thrown in the trash.

If I had some $$$ and the place to store it I'd buy it just to tinker with and part out the 89...someone will get a good deal if they can do some basic mechanic stuff...easily buildable into so much more than a Whipper Snapper rig.

Auto shippers will transport it. I had it shipped when I bought it. Both trucks are still in S.C.

Also 1989 SOLD pending funds from BigJoe1

Please post if the 89 is back on the market again. That would be a great build for my sister since she wrecked her 89 pickup.
Thanks!
