01-02 AM/FM Cass CD

I am looking for a specific unit. It doesn't even need to work. I have an 04 Taco and I am chaning the color of the interior from Orange to Green... I like the look and function of the unit that came with the truck, and I would like to keep it. I know the 4Runners came with a similar unit, but with green backlighting. If you have one that looks like this...

Shoot me a PM, All I want is the board with the lights on it.

I bought a Scion unit thinking it was one of the units that the colors change, but this one is orange too... I need a green one!

Steve, since you seem to know about these units maybe you can help me. My unit's lights stopped working. The unit itself is fine. A few weeks ago the lights started to blink randomly, now nothing. Can you offer a fix suggestion?

Jim, The first thing I'd check is to make sure you don't have a loose connection in the back of the unit. Make sure all of the pins are seated fully first. If that's ok, Then you probably have a bad component somewhere. It can be pretty difficult to pinpoint without a schematic. Since the lights were flickering, I'd bet it's a loose connection.

I have one of these from a my 01 4Runner with green backlighting. A few of the keys have the black paint worn off but it works and so do the lights.

Let me know if you want it. Only reason it is not still in the Runner is because my wife got me an ipod ready Alpine head unit.

If you need pics let me know
