Will it fit or rub????

Found this while researching upgrading to bigger tires. Sure it would help quite a few people.

I don't know...it says to fit a 33x12.5 tire, you need 4" of lift. To fit a 32x11.5 tire, it says you need fender trimming and 2" of lift. As far as I know, both of these are not true and you can ask anyone on this site. I have 32s with only 1.5" of lift and no fender trimming and I could fit 33s if I wanted to.

Read the top paragraph. It says "The following chart is compiled from many sources including a good degree of the information originating from suspension lift manufacturers". What the manufacturer recommends is not always the case. So I find this chart to be a bit misleading, just like all the other charts I've found on the web and in magazines.

If you have an IFS rig and you want the best answer, I'd recommend going to this thread: https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f177...thread-169234/

For any other rigs, I don't know what to tell you. I don't usually surf the other parts of this forum simply because I own an IFS rig.

Mostly as a reference not to be exact. With lots of fender trimming you can get 35 in a stock old school rig.

Those charts are for selling lift kits, not a great source of info. I've run as large as 35's on my stock '86 with what I consider pretty minor trimming and hammering, back down to 33's now but that was determined by what I found the best deal on when I needed tires.
