trxus m/t's...life expectancy

Just as it states, im curious what the life expectancy is on a set of Trxus M/T's.....

Im in the market for a set of winter tires. I frequent the snow..deep snow...and would like to be a little more stable than i am on my tired mastercraft a/t's. These tires will be used for 4 wheeling and snow purposes, until my at's wear all the way down, then theyll be my DD tires too. i've been looking at Trxus' , km2's..even Bighorns. people that have driven with Trxus say they LOVE them...but life is short

I've searched...found posts such as.."best winter/snow tire"...and i have read several others. im just unsure.

Tires are just a pain the a$$ really. trying to find a set that is great...but lasts a long time. It's been frusterating.

anyways...snow...mud...think winter and i'll be in it.so, i am looking for the best bang for buck for snow, and mud tires.

Thanks. sorry if i seem to have rattled lots off, it's a topic im trying to hit up before the snow hits.

Im also in the market for some new tires, but i need them NOW, as i just punctured a hole in the sidewall of one of my bfg mts. Im pretty torn between super swamper tsl radials or the trxus m/t, so I'm also curious about the life of these..... decisions decisions

Anyone have any input on this, I could just get another set of bfgs, but I kind of want to try something new.

I've had my Trxus MT for about a year, but I only use them in the winter and for wheeling. I would guess they have around 5000 km on them and based on the wear so far I would expect 30 - 40,000 km maximum useful life before the tread got too low. I replace off road tires at around 1 cm tread depth, I don't go down to the wear bars. They have a fairly soft rubber compound and using them full time especially in hot weather could shorten that life.

As for how they work they're great off road, in deep snow and on compacted and frozen roads. Not so good on frosty roads or in the rain.

Might want to check out the GY Duratracs, too. Somewhere between a mud and super agressive all terrain and rated for snow, too. I have them and like them a lot. I considered trxus mts but was also concerned about excessive wear.

I just replaced mine, they were at aprox. 30,000km. They are a good tire, soft- good for wheeling but not as DD. They are also hard to balance with a steel wheel combo.
