tire recomendations

Give me your thoughts, your worries, your ailments. Well, not that I can help you much but.. oh well. Anyway I need some new tires, mine are old, tore up, and leak air like a sieve. Thinking,
BFG A/T KOs.. of course
BFG M/T if the price is right
BFG Rugged Trail
General Grabber AT2
Kuhmo Road Venture AT
let me know of other tires that may work. Going to be using in the mountains outside Ft Collins, Co for skiing, playing in the mud, probably light trail duty, and getting to work

I've used both BFG A/T and M/T, A/T good for offroad and new snow but absolutely suck on icy roads. M/T great for dry offroading and mud but mediocre in snow and suck on icy roads. If you sipe the BFG A/Ts you get a little better traction on the icy roads and are far better than the M/Ts as an all around tire. I still haven't found the perfect tire for off road and street but prefer the BFG A/T. Currently I have Nitto A/T, however, I currently reside in Mesa, AZ and haven't put them to the test yet. Do as much research as you can and get as many opinions from people that have actually used the tires. Have fun, hope this helps.

Firestone Destination AT, seriously since I got them just wow. They have griped well in every condtion, and ride great. Also top rated on tire rack.

I got some Big O Mesas. I know it's not the "in" stuff, but I'm broke and Big O would give me a little bit of money for my old ones. Tall narrow lugs, a little bit of space between them. Their very quiet on the road and they seem to grip fairly well on the one trail I took up to Kelly Flats. Personally I think I'd like a bit more agressive tire but they'll do the job just fine. Besides money is hard to come by when you're in school.
