Hey everyone. the front wheels on my 99 4runner are heavily tarnished inside. The rear set is bright and shiny like they're new. Is this from brake dust and heat over a long period of time? Is there a product that'll disolve all the brown crap and make them look nice like the rears? I tried blue magic and it did nothing. oh and does anyone know of a good way to make one of those wheel buffers you can use on a drill, like the mothers ones the stores sell for a rediculous $20? Thanks!

 

the best way to prevent that is to rotate your tires often, and clean the wheels once in awhile

 

So noone knows of a good potent alloy cleaner??

the wheels will get severely rusty if it hasn't been used for quite a long time. or if you seldom use your car, rotate the wheel so friction would clear the forming rusts. there are several ways how to maintain the wheels..
