Review: Falken Rocky Mountain MTS
Well this is my attempt at a running review of these tires. What I bought today were the Falken Rocky Mountain ATS tires in 265/70/17. So far I have 50 miles on them and its all ideal condition highway driving with about 8-10 mi in town.
Just what I've seen today impresses me. I give them high marks for handling and quietness (can't hear em at any speed). I'll be trying them of road soon and this winter in the snow and ill re-post to this thread as new driving conditions are tested.
I've always loved BFGs and have the MT KM2s on my 4runner but I was looking for more mileage from my DD. I really wanted some BFG ATs as I'm very loyal to brands I like, but I decided to try something new (and less expensive) and so far I don't think it's bitten me in the ass. They're a good deal less expensive and are very aggressive for an AT. I've talked to people who like em so here goes nothing.
Stay tuned for updates, folks.

I drove my truck home tonight with these tires (94 4Runner 3.sloo auto, 31x10.5r15s) in two wheel drive up a winding, icy, snow covered road (2"maybe) and was able to maintain the speed limit of 30-35 all the way home without much issue. I will say they don't grab as well as tires I've had in the past (BFG All terrain mostly) but they did the trick. I only slipped a little bit a couple of times but I was probably pushing them to their limits driving in 2wd.
I'll know more shortly once we start getting some real snow storms, I'll update here periodically as well since there aren't many reviews on these tires. I haven't had them offroad yet but that should be soon as well.
I read this wrong, mine are the ATS. Might be a totally different animal....

Have a set of these on my G/F ford annd we have driven in all kinds of weather and conditions snow/mmud/dry dirt and I am always plesantly surprised. I have always been a bfg guy but these tires come a close second I will end up buying these again for this truck and probably any vehicle I own that will see more pavement than off road use.
