Quick rim size question

I just took a set of stock wheels off of my parts truck to use on my 4x2. Three of the rims have "14x5 1/2" stamped into them and one has "14x6" stamped into it. They all look identical. Will that extra 1/2 inch throw off my alignment or have any other negative effects on the truck?

I would think it would be fine.

Since wheels are so cheap ($5 @ Pick-n-Pull), and since they are so critical, they should be matched (at least per axle)!

But, on the other hand, if you have mismatched tires, WTF!

Rims are only $5 at Pick n Pull? My local yard wants $25 each. I need tires really bad, so I decided to just use my stock wheels for now. I guess nicer rims will have to wait. Thanks for the replies.

Any Tire - $12.95!

"Any Tire - $12.95!" + core charge @ Pick-n-Pull.

"Core charge" is the price of the rim (I believe this is current at Redding, & should be the same at all P-n-P Cali yards.): $4.99 for 5 lug, $7.99 for 6 lug, $12.99 for "styled steel", and $22.99 for alloys (Up from $12.99, I recall, a couple of months ago). And, if you are buying tires, they don't care about the condition of the returned rim (it's "metal"). Of course, hubcaps, beauty rims, etc. are "extra", plus $2 admission, plus tax, and plus "environmental fee" (whatever that is...).

The real deal is Half Off Days, when you can retrieve that nice set of wheels and tires that you previously stashed in the Dodge and Ford vans. (Put 'em in 4 different locations, so nobody, but you, can locate a matching pair.)
