Looking for some pics of those Enkei 15" wheels that were available as a dealer option. My previous '96 T100 had them, and they seem to be fairly common in my area. I am heavily leaning towards buying a set for my '95 Pickup, but wanted to see some on 2nd/3rd gen trucks to get a better idea of exactly what they would look like...

I noticed you were bumping the Enkei FS threads looking for a set. I posted in those too. I got lucky when I found a set in Nashville Craigslist as I was just moving to the Nashville area. Check your local Craigslist in FL, but also in other areas, like GA, TN, or other areas if you're willing to travel. They're quite rare to find. Also check other Toyota/off-road forums.
Might try different searches like "toyota pickup rims" , "toyota pickup wheels", "enkei 15x8", "enkei toyota", "enkei rims" etc. They don't always know the brand, or what size.

 

Yeah I have heard other people say that they are "rare" to find, but they actually are not that rare in my area. I see them just as much as any other wheels Toyota trucks or 4Runners came with from the factory. The only problem is that when I see a set on a truck that is for sale and offer to trade mine + cash, the sellers want nothing to do with it

 

What width are these rims? 6.5" ?

Okay, yeah I just measured them myself. I guess it's measured from the inside lip to inside lip at 7". Because from outside lip to outside lip it's 8".

Would these provide more negative offset than SR5 Aluminum wheels?

I'm just going off of googled pictures and trying to figure out how it would look on my truck.

Leaning right now towards 265/70/15... kinda like a hybrid. slightly less than 30" overall diameter and about 10.5" wide. Not sure if they would look too small though
got thesee pics off of an old ttora post of 265/70s on SR5. Wondering if I should do 265/70s on the Enkeis



oh I have the same body style.
Maybe a 1/4" or 10mm spacer? Not looking for that massively wide look, just slightly wider than SR5s. Or will the wheels already do that without the spacers?

 

Does anybody happen to know the weight of these Enkei wheels? I was wondering whether they are on the lighter side with similar weight of an aftermarket alloy wheel, or more towards the heavy side like the factory steel wheels...

 

They are lighter I think, I'll weight them when I get home from work.

**EDIT** 16.8 lbs without tire. I measured 2 times to make sure

 

I know mine with the 32" km2s feel lighter than the stock steelies with 31" liberator ats

I can get a set of these (including a "spare," so 5 wheels total) with BFG All Terrains that have "about 70% tread left"...owner is asking $800. Is that a good price? Not that I care (it's a truck, c'mon) but the wheels look to be in good shape from the pics I saw. Also, only 4 of the tires are BFG A/Ts, the 5th has a Firestone Destination or something on it.

 

I got my set for $150, no tires. All 4 had center caps. They have slight oxidation/scratches but nothing that most wheels don't have. Overall 6.5/10 Condition. Would be a 9-10 with some light polishing.

 

Hmm...I thought I remembered people saying that a set of aftermarket aluminum wheels for these trucks usually weigh 8-10 lbs. each. If that is true, then these actually are close to stock wheel weight, and not saving me too much, right?

I ended up finding someone selling his 4Runner, and offered to trade him my stock wheels + $160 cash. He only had 1 center cap, but that doesn't bother me too much because my 4x4 can only fit the back 2 anyway. The best part was that my tires were on the end of their life, and his had 35%-45% tread left (probably a bad guess, but point being significantly better than mine). Overall I am very happy with this deal. It's raining now, but I will be sure to get some pics up ASAP!

 

Hmm...Not sure if I've ever read how much the Enkeis weigh...but I did confirm the weight as 16.8. I've been using the scale every day. And I checked the weight of my Honda HX wheels which are confirmed by several people to be 11.9 lbs and they measure on the dot. So I'm confident that the 16.8 is correct.


I'm sure they're lighter than my steel wheels. As far as vs. SR5 wheels? I donno. What do SR5 wheels weigh?

Anyways, I'll weigh them when I eventually get tires on them...lol which may not be until later this month. I'll also weight the steel ones when I swap them out.

 

Yeah I am not doubting your measurement...just saying that I guess I expected them to be a little lighter than what they actually are. I think that the base model factory wheels can't weigh much more than ~20 lbs., right? I was expecting to save more than ~3 lbs. per wheel by going with these alloy Enkeis. Oh well

according to the guys on this thread, aluminum is 21lbs. steel is 25lb. 16.8lbs aint bad woohoo I'm excited.

 

As I said previously I just got a set of the Enkei factory option wheels...the ones you pictured weighing 16.8 lbs.

Thanks for that link with weights of the steelies. An 8 lb. difference in weight makes me feel a little better!
