opinions on mud kings

Phantom is the brand and yes it is a subsidiary of Michelin America Small Tire as is bf goodrich and uniroyal and 100 other lesser independant brand tires. you get what you pay for . if you are expecting km performance from this tire it won't happen. if you want an agressive tire that is inexpensive, and dont mind a rough ride and alot of road noise, with 25 year old tire technology then the mud king is for you.

I've run mud kings on my 79 f150 4x4 shortbox. 35x12.50x15s they actually lasted a long time even though I did alot of burnouts to the point where you cant see truck. I did not find them to be very loud tires. As far as I am concerned they were overall a good tire.

I just ran a pair of the 35x12.5x15's into the ground. They were very good mud tires, esp. aired down. Pretty good everywhere else except the snow. Sucked in the snow. They took a good beating and then some, holding up well 'till they were TOTALLY bald and had 4-6 patches in each. I'd buy 'em again.
I like to run muds in the rear, AT's in the front. Just replaced those with some 50% used TSL's. Liking them much better, but the price....
