Well , if you have to drive a significant distance to go wheelin, then why not find a cheapo little tow trailer for your tires and just swap them out when you get to where you wheel?? Buy a bigg azz chain and lock the trailer and yer street tires to a tree or something???

I want to get 33 12.50 16 trux mt. But I wonder how much they weigh if a 285 weighs the same as a 35 12.50. What do a 33 12.50 weigh as much as a regular 36 and a 34 weigh as much as a 37. That would be pretty hard on my trans and steering i think. What do you guys think. Are they to heavy or should I just go for 315/75/16 regular mt.

ive got a 94 pickup with 22 re and its an automatic.... it is also 2wd.... i know its not made for offroading but i like to have fun sometimes so i go anyways.... my question is what kinda tires should i get if i put most my miles on road, but do some offroading mostly on dirt trails, few rocks, sand , etc.... i currently have 33x12.50x15 bfg a/t's, and today up a few of the really huge hills i almost didnt make it cause they werent getting good enough traction ... i wanna swap them for something better offroad, but still be able to put at least 25k miles or so on the new set.... what do u guys suggest?

Parnelli Jones, if you can afford them. I have heard a lot of good things about them, they are just so darned expensive.

i'm thinking about going for a set of 35" mud kings to get me rollin when i do new springs/gears/lockers, then move on to tsls or iroks eventually

i've heard nothing but good things about iroks. supposedly they are smoother on the road than mt/rs too!

Interco states the Irok has direction tread, does this mean the radial Irok is also directional, and can't be run backwards???

I wonder how long an Irok would last, or how long the company expects them to last.

From what I've read there also seems to be a balancing issue with Interco's Trxus. I've read where a few people have to get them rebalanced every 6k miles or so. I wish I woulda read that before I bought them.

Interco are good tires off-road, but not many people are happy with the on-road performance. They just aren't made for the streets at all. The one thing I have heard from more people than I can count is to stay away from the Thornbirds like the plague! I haven't found one person that likes the way they perform on or off road.
